Lost in darkness

Chapter 11

Tess pov- After being asleep a few hours she woke up feeling a lot better. She looked at her alarm clock seeing it was just after one AM. She got out of bed and put on a pair of shorts and a simple tang top and some vans. It was to late to really go anywhere so she thought a walk around her complex might be nice after being asleep all day. She grabbed her keys and headed out the door and headed towards the walking trail that was behind the apartments. Even though it was dark she had her phone and she wasn't going to be out long.

Kraven pov- The night seemed to drag on as he sat at his desk grading a few papers.  He couldn't seem to get this girl out of his head and he didn't understand why. Giving up on his work he blew the candle out and threw on a t-shirt and stepped outside on his patio. He lit a cigarette and let his thought wonder as he let his senses take control. He could hear small animals running thru the woods and what sounded like footsteps. He took a few puffs before putting it out and before he knew it he found himself standing at the walking trail.

Tess pov-  She walked down the trail for awhile until she figured it was time for her to head back home. She sighed noticing a blood on her arm but shook it off thinking she stitched her arm on a tree branch or something. It wasn't a lot of blood she will just clean it up when she got home she thought.

Kraven pov- He froze when the scent hit him and the burn in his throat became almost unbearable. He looked around making sure no one was around which he was alone which was a good thing.  He had ways of getting blood and it had been ages since he had feed from someone and the scent was so tempting. This was one of the reasons why he left his home land cause his clan enjoyed feeding which lead to many deaths cause they only seen humans as prey.  He stepped back bumping into someone and he took a deep breath seeing it was Tess he tried to turn so she wouldn't see his eyes.

Tess pov-  The only sound that could be heard was crickets chirping. She must have zoned out during her walk back to her apartment she didn't realize that she bumped into someone  "I'm so sorry" she said with a small smile. Feeling embarrassed she finally looked up to see who she had bumped into but shock rushed over her when she seen it was Mister Graves.

Kraven pov- The smell of blood was really strong and he tried to not notice the cut she had on her arm every time he took a breath it burned his throat. His voice was soft with a hint of roughness to it as he spoke. He refused to look her in the eye cause he knew his eyes would scare her and that was the last thing he wanted.

Kraven: " It was my fault" and paused " are you aware your bleeding"

Tess: "Its just a scratch" she smiled feeling a little unconformable

Kraven: " I didn't follow you if that's what your thinking" he tried to put her mind at ease " I live here"

Tess: " That never crossed my mind" she lied

Tess Pov- She said she was sorry again for bumping into him and told him to have a good night, she was starting to feel light headed and she didn't want to pass out. She took a few steps and that was the last thing she could remember before everything went black and she felt herself falling.

Kraven pov- He Stepped behind her in a blink of eye and caught her with ease before she could hit the ground. He held her in his arms and stood up and cared her to his apartment before he had time to think it thru.
