"This is Kate. She also got the job.", the HR head said while gesturing his hand to the girl in front of you. You smiled and gave her a slight bow.
It's already Monday and you're currently inside the office of the HR head, sitting face-to-face with another woman—a beautiful woman. Heck, she was stunning, even for you. She looked like one of those model-type girls you only see on TV. In fact, she's so pretty she could be an idol.

Also, you know she's well-off. Just by looking at her outfit and the bag she's using, you'd know she's a daughter of a wealthy family. You recognized that those were high-end items cause your mother bought you the exact things before they left. Your family has a company and you could say you're rich too, but something about her just screams 'wealthier than you bitch'. She just looked so perfect, even in your opinion as a woman.
"Yes, correct! We do need just one", he answered and you tensed a bit, already imagining the worst. "We narrowed down the applicants to you two. We couldn't choose which one of you to hire, so we're testing you both."
You're now screaming internally. Feeling annoyed and angry at the same time. They called you up and specifically told you that you just got the job. And then this happens? They practically just got your hopes up. You were excited for nothing after all.
"Think of it as a training. You'll undergo different "obstacles" for a week. After that, we'll assess how you performed. By the end of the week, we'll see who did a better job, who's more competent and more deserving to get into the company", he added.
With just that, your competitiveness kicked in. You wanted the job, whatever it is, with all your heart. You were determined to get it no matter what, so you held your head high, ready for whatever they'll let you do.
"Ok, sir. So, when can we start?", you said a little more sternly.
