I promised a longer chapter than the last one so here ya goooooo!!!

After the talk with the HR head, Mr. Han,  he excused himself because he needed to be in a meeting that morning.

"Seulgi, could you come in here for a sec?", Mr. Han said through the intercom.

He instructed Seulgi, his assistant, to explain to us the rest, and also to guide us all throughout the week. She ushered you both out of his office and explained what you two needed to do. Also repeating that you have to do this for a week to see which one of you to hire. You nodded politely, while on your peripheral vision, you could see Kate's annoyed look... totally opposite to how she acted in front of the HR Head.

"Whatever! Just tell us what to do already", Kate blurted out. You and the assistant were both taken aback. Too shocked at what she just said and the way she said it. 

She might have a superiority complex, you thought to yourself. You can't help but think that way cause just a few minutes ago, she was acting so delicately in front of the head, as if she wouldn't do you wrong. And now, she's acting like she's better than anyone only because the head wasn't around to witness it anymore.

Seulgi didn't say anything about Kate's sudden bitchiness. Instead, she just continued instructing you both about important stuff you needed to know. After that, she assigned you tasks you needed to accomplish by the end of the day. Just before dismissing you, she spoke again.

"One more thing, before you both start your work, please don't put your phones on silent. And please make yourselves available 24/7 for this whole week. You're on call morning and night... even at dawn, though, it's rare that we call staffs at dawn. However, just be alert."

That morning, you two were assigned in one department of the company. You weren't quite sure what they do but they did do something, which you thought was important cause they were scribbling here and there, taking calls and just doing typical office works you see on movies. They were just too busy. Both you and Kate basically became errand girls that day. You gave out coffee, picked up crumpled papers thrown on the floor and did whatever they asked you to do. But to be honest, Kate wasn't doing much really. It was practically just you doing everything. It's just the 1st day and she's already slaking off.

The day ended fast. It was already around 8 in the evening and you just arrived home. Your work has a flexible time so there really wasn't a specific time for you to finish, although, you have to always be in the company at 9am. You ate, took a bath and slept right after, already calling it a day.

The next morning, you arrived on time. You went straight to Seulgi to ask what you needed to accomplish for the day. It was already 9:05 am but Kate was still nowhere to be found.

Today, Seulgi just assigned you to clean the storage room; fix some boxes and arrange the papers. She showed you the way and as soon as you entered, you started working, not even waiting for Kate to arrive, cause duh you weren't even sure if she's coming or not.

While going through one of the boxes, you heard the door open. It was Kate. She was late... an hour late. And by the look on her face, she wasn't even sorry.

You politely said hello and told her what you two were assigned to do today.

"Hell no! Why the fuck would my hands want to touch those filthy things?", she said as she looked at the pile of dusty boxes.

The whole room was indeed dusty and dirty, but what can you do? This was one of the "obstacles" they assigned to both of you so you had no other choice but to comply.

She was already getting into your nerves but you didn't want to make a scene so you brushed it off.

"I'll just handle the boxes then. Instead, just arrange and fix the things on the shelves", you said in a very calm voice, trying your best not to shout at the bitch.

She rolled her eyes before walking towards the shelves. While walking, you heard her say, "UGH! Why the fuck should I be doing this?"

You ignored her and continued with what you were doing before she arrived.

A few hours have passed and you were almost done sorting out the boxes. Kate, on the other hand, was nowhere near the word finish. She was slaking off, again, just like yesterday. Instead of fixing the shelves, she was on her phone, scrolling through it.

"Excuse me, but if you want us to go home early, I'd appreciate if you do your part now", you told her, a hint of annoyance could be heard in your voice.

"Bitch, who are you to be telling me what to do?", she said, sorta ready to scream any minute.

"Chill, I'm just saying that if you fix the shelves now, we could go home early... so you could go through whatever you're looking at your phone, with ease", you explained.

"I'll do what I want to do, so fuck off!", Kate exclaimed.

You've never been so ready to lash out from her bitchiness, but before you could even answer her, her phone suddenly rang. She rolled her eyes at you before immediately hiding behind the shelves.

Must be someone important, you thought as you decide to continue what you were doing.

You didn't mean to eavesdrop but the small room where you're at wasn't giving you both the privacy you needed. You overheard Kate talking to her dad on the phone. She was just behind the shelf full of books and albums. The room is so small, so you practically heard everything she said.

"But dad this isn't what you promised me! You told me I'd be working with BTS, not organize stupid books inside this freaking dirty storage room. Better talk to Mr. Han again or I swear to god, I'll--", she threatened but was cut off before even finishing her sentence. You couldn't really hear what her dad's saying, but you do know it wasn't pleasing her ears cause of what she said next.

"Whatever! I don't care!", she yelled. "Just bride him, invite him over for dinner or buy his wife a bag or something--that always worked. Whatever! Just do anything. The damn I care what you do, just give me what I freaking want!", she continued, throwing a book at the wall afterwards.

Oh ok, now it makes sense. That's why she wasn't afraid to show her bitchy attitude and show up late... cause someone's backing her up. Her dad's probably an important person, probably even has a high-position in god knows what company, cause by just looking at how she's acting, she clearly isn't afraid of any shit.

Your thoughts were cut off when you suddenly heard the door loudly shut. That's when you realized that Kate wasn't behind the shelf anymore; she already stormed out of the room.

Hell no! I'm not gonna let her have her way. I'll show everyone who's more capable and more competent between the both of us.

You told yourself before you continued doing the task given to you. Well, by the end of the day, you managed to finish the work of two, cause Kate didn't come back after she left this morning. God knows where she went, and in all honesty, you really didn't care either. You just finished what you were given, too focused on getting the job to even mind about your "competitor".

You finished work earlier than yesterday. Today, you got home before 7 pm, giving you more time to relax. Since you love sleeping SO MUCH, you just decided to just sleep off your free time.

You woke up with a loud ring from your phone. You looked at the clock on your side table to check what time it was.

4 o'clock.

"Who the fuck is calling me up this early?", you groaned before getting your phone inside your bag.
