'I like you, Angel, very much... would you like to go out with me some time?'

Chris' words keep playing in my head ever since he told me that he likes me yesterday, and to be honest, I'm shocked that someone like him is interested in someone like me.

I mean, I'm just a regular girl and he's a football player, to top it all, he's the most popular guy in school.

My phone beeps, disturbing me from my thoughts.

Chris: Hey Angel, it's Chris here. I know you're wondering where I got your numbers from, but I'll tell you on our date, that's if you agree to go out with me. Please say yes.

Before I can reply, I get a call from Jane telling me that she's the one who gave away my numbers and that I should say yes to going out on a date with Chris.

"You are such an arse." I tell her.

"Love you too. Bye!" She screams out then hangs up the phone.

Me: Okay I'll go out on a date with you.

Chris: Great, I'll pick you up at eight tonight. Wear something casual.

Today is March 29, it's my birthday and my phone can't stop buzzing from all the texts and calls I'm getting from people wishing me a happy birthday.

I really appreciate their kindness, but it's a Saturday morning, can they please just chill out.

The buzzing goes out of control and I decide to reply to them. 'Happy birthday, Angel, hope you have a blissful day and enjoy it to the max' says a text from Kim.

The rest of the texts I decide to reply to them later, I just need to sleep for at least five more minutes.

Just as I am about to fall into my slumber state, my mom calls out. "Angel, wake up. It's time for breakfast, and get ready because we're going shopping."

My mom is always the happy one on my birthday instead of me, for what particular reason, I don't really know.

I throw a mini tantrum just before I pull the covers off of me and start making my way to the bathroom. "Oww!"

I trip over my school bag, causing me to fall face first onto the floor, luckily my big teddy bear broke my fall.

I remember how my school bag got there in the first place.

I was fuming when I found out that Nicolas ate my pizza yesterday and I cursed all the way to my bedroom and decided that the floor was a suitable place for my bag.

Had I known that I would trip over it today, I wouldn't have thrown it there at all.

I love food, so if anyone steals or takes my food without my permission, I get very angry.

Once I finally get to the bathroom, I turn the shower faucets on and wait for the water to get warm enough for me to hop inside.

My bathroom is not fancy, but it is a girl's dream.

It has a nicely spaced shower, maybe enough to fit about five people inside, a bath tub a bit bigger in size and a sink.

The walls are a dusty pink with a bit of cream white here and there. The same with my bedroom and walk-in closet.

What I love most about my room is that it has black curtains, and at night you can clearly see the contrasting light of the moon from outside.

My friends think I'm crazy for having black curtains, but I don't care, I love them anyway.
