Chris’ POV

“Alpha, you need to slow down so I can enable my technology.” Jerry says.

Ever since I got that video from Rose’, I have been fuming and hoping that my baby and mate are okay, otherwise I will go on a rampage and kill whoever is in my way.

“Turn left here.” Says Jerry.

Doing as told, I turn left and far down the road I can see an abandoned warehouse.

I’m guessing that’s where she’s keeping my mate.

My mate.

I can’t believe I let this happen. How did I not catch a scent of that rogue before he took her?!

I’m going to kill that animal, and that b*tch that took and harmed my mate. She will wish that she was never born.

At least I can still feel the bond between my mate and I, meaning she’s still alive.

“I think it’s best we park here so that they don’t see us. Jerry, take down the security footage they have and make sure to sense any movement going on in the building before I go in.”

I say in a voice that doesn’t sound like mine. Valerio is fighting for control.

“Luke, I want you to be alert. When I press this button, I want you to start tearing the place down.”

He nods and I leave the car to the warehouse. Suddenly, I feel empty and anger takes over my already fuming body.

The mate bond feels heavy on my heart and that’s when I realise that something happened to her and it can only be one thing- she’s dead.

Luke's POV

Unable to control himself, he shifts and Valerio comes forward on all fours.

I make sure to keep a safe distance between him and the men and me.

Growling and snapping at the air, I run towards his dead mate, right after him.

That can only mean one thing- the Luna is dead.

Making my way inside the warehouse, I pick up her strong scent and walk inside the room she’s lying in.

Laying on the cold, harsh floor is her fragile body.

Her hair is everywhere around her face and her cheeks are flushed from the coldness of the floor.

I can’t help but look at her stomach and I see a bullet hole going straight through her stomach where the future Alpha was growig.

I notice Chris shift back to his skin and breathe in her scent.

Looking at her stomach, I see it is already healing.

“I don’t understand.” I say to myself. Chris chooses this time to turn around and look at me.

“Luke, she’s dead.” He says breathlessly and he tries very hard not to crouch down and let the tears fall.

“Find Rose’ and kill her.” He says I notice his eyes turning red as he thinks about Rose’.

“We found her trying to escape through a window and killed her and that sick rogue. It’s time to go home, Chris.”

I say and attempt to pick his mate up, but he snarls at me and I take a few good steps back.

He picks her up and takes her to the car that was waiting for us outside. Jerry takes one look at her in Chris' arms and says, “Alpha, the Luna needs to be taken to Lucy. She’s awaiting our arrival.”

I look at him as if he’s grown an extra head. “She can bring the Luna back.”

Jane’s POV

Seeing my best friend’s lifeless body almost felt like I had lost my sister.

Angel was everything to me, she was my best friend, my sister, my partner in crime and my adviser. We shared everything together.

She told me the biggest secret which was Chris being a werewolf and I couldn’t feel more special to have her tell me something like that.

She’s the one who told me to give Jonah a chance and I couldn’t be happier about it.

He loves me and he makes me happy. Now I feel like I’ve failed her. All along I knew that something was up with Rose’, but I couldn’t tell Angel because I thought she wouldn’t believe me, and now she’s dead because of me.

Chris is taking her to a witch to bring her back, but I don’t think she’ll be able to do that.

We’re currently sitting in the lady’s sitting room and waiting for her to finish doing what she’s doing so she can tell us if it worked or not.

Chris is also in there with them. The witch said the baby might still be alive, and if it is, then she needs to sacrifice him/her to bring Angel back.

Chris was devastated to hear that, but he didn’t have much of a choice, he just wanted Angel back so they could start over.

I just hope she does it; bring Angel back and we’ll all be happy.

“Are you okay, babe?” Asks Jonah, bringing me out of my thoughts.

“Yeah I am. I just hope she does it, you know. I just want my best friend back. I already miss her so much.”

I tell him and he wraps his hands around me, warming me up. Lucy comes out and looks at as if she can’t believe her eyes.

“Is she okay, Lucy?” Luke asks, bringing her back to reality. When she doesn't say anything, I ask her again, impatiently.

“I managed to sacrifice her baby, and she’s alive, but she’s in a coma.” She finally says and I hug Jonah.

Feeling happy that she’s back, I go to the room she’s in and I see Chris lying next to her, in her arms.

“She’s alive. My Angel’s alive.” He says as if he can’t believe it himself.

Looking at him for the first time, I notice that his eyes are puffy from all the crying.

I can’t imagine how it feels to lose a child, and I wouldn’t want to experience it.

“It’s going to be okay, Chris. Just be patient.” I tell him, and feel like I need to tell myself as well, because I need to believe it.
