Unkown's POV
“Alpha, I just got word that she's at the mall with her close friend.” My Beta informs me.
“Go after her, don't do anything yet, just follow her car for a while and disappear when they call for help.” I tell him after a short while.
“Okay, if you say so.” He says, deflated that he won't get to have his fun with the Luna today.
‘All in good time, my friend. All in good time.’ I mind link him as soon as he leaves my office.
“You’re going to regret not listening to me, Christopher Watson. Soon to be late Alpha of El Noir Pack.”
I say to myself and let out a loud chuckle at my plan.
Chris' POV
“Can you find them?!” I growl out at Luke, checking to see if the little device has picked up the location of their car.
“Yes, it says they should be right up ahead. Speed up.” He says after confirming that it's them.
My worst fear comes true when Angel doesn't reply back to me through the mind link.
“I don't feel the bond, Luke. Something is wrong with my mate.” I seethe out when I feel Valerio trying to take control.
“There they are. That's the car they used. But I don't see anyone following them.” Luke says.
“Maybe they disappeared when they saw us coming.”
I grab my phone from my pocket and dial Jane's numbers. She picks up on the third ring, in a panicked haze.
“Jane, tell me my mate is okay.” I growl out lowly to her.
“She passed out from a panic attack. I'm driving her home right now. We'll call the pack doctor to check on her.” She says and I follow suit behind her, going home.

“She’ll be okay. Just please keep her on bed rest up until the next time I come and check up on her. Keep her away from stressful situations at all times.” Susan, the pack doctor informs us.
“Of course, Susan. Thank you again for coming at such short notice.” I thank her as I give her a hand shake and walk her to the door.
“You notice that you're the cause of all this, right?” Jane mutters from behind me, making me snap my head in her direction.
Although it is part of my fault why she's stressed, I don't think anyone had the balls to say it to my face, well, except for Janette Simpson herself. I guess I was wrong.
“Yes, I know. I apologize for putting you in this position. I know Angel might think you're the one who brought Elsa into our home, but you had no idea of our history.” I say to her.
She looks appalled by my apology, almost like she did not expect me to say that.
“As long as you promise to never put Angel's life as well as your pup's life in danger like that.”
“I promise.”
“What are you promising each other?” Angel says as she makes her way into the living room.
She looks between Jane and I, wondering what it is we were discussing.
“Angie, baby, I need to talk to you. Please just let me explain what happened. Just give me a chance, please.” I plead with her, smiling when she nods her head.
“Elsa and I were mates almost 20 years ago...until she became power hungry and wanted to kill me. I didn't know she had a fiancé and they were both plotting to take my title. She and her fiance wanted to be the Alpha and Luna of El Noir Pack.”
I look at her with furrowed eyebrows, wondering why she is so quiet.
“Carry on.” She mumbles under her breath, knowing that I heard.
Jane left us a while ago, leaving me alone with my pregnant, hormonal mate.
“She had some of my pack mates killed just so she could get under my skin. So I banished her from ever coming here again, the next thing she waltz in my house and I know she'd be a threat to my loved ones.
I'm really sorry for allowing her to get close enough to kiss me, I promise I didn't kiss her back.
Do you forgive me?” I ask her with my puppy eyes that she adores so much.
“It’s fine, just don't ever start anything that you won't be able to finish.” She says with an evil glint in her eyes, confusing me as hell.
“I promise, Mrs Watson. The mother of my future pups and Luna of my pack.”
“Don't push it, Alpha.” She says, emphasising the word Alpha.
“Alpha, it's time.” Luke says as he barges inside the living room.
“Time for what?” Angel asks, sounding confused.
“Baby, I need you to do me a favour. Go to our bedroom and lock the door, don't come out until I say so, okay?”
“Why, what's going on?” She asks.
“Please just do as I say, I'll explain everything to you when I get back. Go with Jane if you have to, just go. I love you.” I say and kiss the top of her head, waiting for her to start making her way to our bedroom.
“I love you too. Be safe.”
She says and disappears through the corner.
“Alright, let's go end this war right now!”
Angel's POV
“Don't worry, he'll be fine. Plus, you have me to keep you company.” Jane says as she picks out a movie for us to watch.
“Yeah you're right. I should really stop stressing, it's not good for the baby.” I mutter under my breath, not caring if Jane can hear me or not.
“I'll be back, just need to go pee.” I tell Jane as I get up to go to the bathroom.
Noticing a wet spot on the bed, I blush in embarrassment as the thought of peeing myself creeps in.
“What are you blushing at?” Jane asks before she looks at what I'm looking towards.
“Oh my God, Angel. I think your water just broke.”
