Cariah's POV:

"Hi" I said as I reached the bottom of the stairs. At the door were two girls who looked like they were at the most 25. Like holy shit they were so pretty.

"Cariah, Zoë-Jane, these are my friends Crystal and Mariah. Crystal and Mariah these are my kids and I'll be right back I'm getting a call" dad said before walking away. ZJ and I walked up to the girls.

"Hi. I'm Cariah" I said as I shook Crystal's hand.

"Oh my god little Cariah Colbie Brooks. I haven't seen you since you were a baby" she said as she hugged me. Alrighty wasn't expecting that.

"Actually it's Cariah Danielle Fulton" I said as she let me go.

"Your dad changed your name? Typical Jackson" Crystal said as she rolled her eyes.

"Umm what do you mean changed my name. I've had the same name since I was born" I said.

"Oh my god she's an exact replica of Jade" Mariah said as she hugged me.

"Oh my god it's hard to believe your mother died twice while you were inside her. You're such a miracle" Mariah said as she let me go.

"Ummm Im sorry what?" I said.

"Okay Im back" dad said as he came back.

"You have beautiful daughters Jackson. They obviously got all their looks from their mothers" Crystal said.

"Haha very funny. Come sit" he said. We all went into living room and sat on the couches.

"You guys want something to drink?" Dad asked Crystal and Mariah.

"Ugh yeah sure. You got wine?"

"Yeah. ZJ can you go get the wine and wine glasses" dad said. She nodded and got up before going into the kitchen.

"Well you have a nice house" Crystal said.

"Thanks. I've worked hard to get where I am today"

"Shut up your parents are rich" Mariah said.

"Dad which wine?" ZJ yelled from the kitchen.

"Hold on Im coming" dad said before getting up and going into the kitchen.

"Did you guys know my mom?" I asked.

"She was our best friend. Ugh you look just like her. Colby would love to see her" Crystal said saying the last part to Mariah.

"Who's Colby? And did you say my dad changed my name? I've seen my birth certificate and It says Cariah Danielle Fulton" I said.

"I don't know why he changed your name. Cariah Colbie Brooks was such a beautiful name" Mariah said.

"Okay here's some white wine" dad said as he came in and handed Crystal and Mariah glasses of wine before sitting down with a glass in his hand himself. Zoë-Jane came in and handed me a glass of wine and kept one for herself.

"Ummm Jackson. You're letting them drink wine? Aren't they 16 and 17?" Crystal said.

"Yeahhhhh. They're at home so it's not like they're out drinking" dad said.

"Cariah, Crystal is a film producer so why don't you ask her any questions you have" dad said.

"You wanna do Film?" She asked me and I nodded.

"Ohhhh okay. I'll answer any questions you have"

"Where did you go to college?" I asked.

"I got a bachelors in Cinematography at Cal State Long Beach. From there I became an cinematographer for youtubers and I just slowly worked my way up. I still do side video jobs every now and then" she explained.

"Wow that's so cool. I so badly wanna do what you're doing"

"Well I actually have a shoot tomorrow at 9am for a side video job. I can bring you along and show you what it's like to be on a set" she said.

"Oh my god i'd love that. Dad can I please go? Please please please" I begged.

"Sure. Just make sure you drop you sister off then you can drive to the place"

"I can pick her up. It's in like the middle of nowhere and I don't want her to get lost" Crystal said.

"She can drive it's fine"

"Jackson. I'll pick her up it's fine" Crystal insisted.

"Alright then"

"Well it was nice meeting you both. I'll see you tomorrow. Here's my card. Text me so I can save your number and I'll text you tomorrow when I'm here" Crystal said.

"Okay it was nice meeting you too" Crystal said. I shut the door then went up to my room.

Why did dad change my name?

What did Crystal mean when she said my mom died twice while I was inside her?

Who is Colby?

And why would he be excited to see me?
