Plans Change || Fifteen

Cariah's POV:

So as you can guess I didn't go home last night. After my father told me not to go home he stopped texting me. I stayed at Colby's house and was currently laying in his bed.

"Are you going to school?" He asked me. He was laying on his back right next to me.

"Probably not. I don't want to really go anywhere" I said as I turned the other way so I was facing the wall and my back was to him.

"Hey are you okay" he said and I heard him move so I'm assuming he's facing me now.

"Yeah this is just a lot to take in" I said.

"I know. You can stay here as long as you want" he said. I turned back over so I was now laying on my back and Colby was on his side facing me.

"I appreciate that but I go to school like an hour away" I explained.

"Yeah that's true"

"I just wish my mom was here to make this easier. That way I could just move in with her" I said.

"I know" he said.

"Hey do you think you'd be able to help me with something?" I asked him.

"Sure"

"Do you think you can help me find my grandparents?" I asked him.

"From your moms side?"

"Yeah"

"I haven't spoken to them since you were a baby. But yeah I can help you find them" he said.

"Thanks" I said with a smile.

"You're welcome. So how about we watch movies all day with no pants on" he said.

"I like the way you think Brock. But you do have like 30 thousand roommates so maybe it's a better idea that the minor stays with pants on" I said.

"Yeah maybe that's smart" he said. There was a knock on his door so Colby got up to unlock it and open it.

"Hey we're going to go pick up some food at McDonald's. Do you guys want something?" Devyn said.

"No I'm good thank you though" I said.

"Just bring a 20 piece nuggets for us" Colby said.

"Okay" she said.

"So let's see what I can find" he said as he sat on his bed and pulled out his laptop.

"What are you doing"

"You said you wanted to find your moms parents. So I'm gonna try to find them" he did as he opened google.

"Ok her moms name is Alicia Brooks" he said as he typed it in.

"25,000 results for Alicia Brooks. That narrows it down" I said.

"Okay let me try on Facebook" he went to Facebook and went to the find friends tab. He typed in her name and typed in the city.

"Sanger? What is that?" I asked since I've never heard of that before.

"It's the city we're all from" he explained.

"Who?"

"Me, your parents, Sam, Corey, Jake, Mariah, Crystal and I think that's it"

"Wow. I never heard of that"

"Your dad never told you where he was from?" He asked.

"He told me he was from around here. But now that I think of it he's lied about everything so I don't know why I believed him" I said and Colby agreed.

"So it looks like they still live in the same city".  said.

"Really?"

"Yeah. Should I message her and ask if it's okay if we meet up?" He asked.

"Do it" I said. He typed up a message to her and sent it.

"Okay. Now movie night? With the roommates?" He asked.

"Sounds like a plan" I said.

We went downstairs and sat in the living room.

"So what's your favorite movie?" He asked.

"Probably to all the boys I've loved before" I said.

"Really? That movie came out like 18 years ago" he said.

"Yeah I came across it once and I fell in love with it"

"Well then looks like we're gonna watch to all the boys I've loved before" he said. He put the movie and we watched about 5 minutes of it when Colby's roommates came in.

"Hey do we got you guys nuggets and fries and we didn't know what type of sauce Cariah wanted so we just got like two of each sauce" Corey said.

"Thank you. And for future reference, I like buffalo" I said.

"You guys wanna join us. We're watching to all the boys I've loved before" Colby said.

"Sure" the roommates joined and we just watched the movie and everyone made jokes every once in a while.

I was actually having fun. And I forgot about how messed up my life was. Or at least I did till Colby got a message.

"Oh your grandmother messages me back" he whispered.

"What did she say?" I asked.

"She wants to meet this weekend in Sanger"
