Plans Change || Twelve

Cariah's POV:

I stayed the night at Colby's once again. Today Devyn said she wanted to film a makeup tutorial for her YouTube channel she just started and she needed a model so I said she could do makeup on me.

"What's up everyone. Today I'm here with my new friend. This is Cariah and she has agreed to let me do her makeup" Devyn said and I waved to the camera.

"So you like doing makeup right?" She asked me as she was doing my eyeshadow.

"I'm not like super good but I'm decent. I just think it's so much fun how you can do literally anything and be creative with all the different colors and techniques" I explained.

"It is I love seeing makeup artists on Instagram doing different techniques than me"

We finished the video and my makeup was looking extremely bomb so I didn't take it off. Colby said we were going to go somewhere later so I figured I better just keep it on.

"Hey" I said as I walked into the kitchen where Sam and Colby were.

"Wow looking good Cariah" Sam said.

"Thanks"

"You look really pretty. I mean you did before but you look extra pretty" Colby said.

"Thank you Colby" I said with a smile.

"Alright well I gotta go get some stuff for a 3AM ritual video I'm doing tonight so see you guys later" Sam said before leaving.

"So where are we going?" I asked.

"Somewhere where you should probably wear this" he said as he handed me a piece of clothing. I took it and saw it was one of his and Sam's XPLR hoodies.

"This is gonna be like way too big for me" I said.

"Well you can rock it anyway. Get dressed we leave in 5" he said before walking away. I playfully rolled my eyes before going back to Devyn's room.

"Hey Devyn hate to bother you again but do you by any chance have over the knee socks?" I asked her.

"Yeah I have some" she went to her closet and handed me some black ones.

"You can actually have those. I haven't worn them in forever so I was gonna get rid of them"

"Oh okay thanks" I went to the bathroom downstairs and changed into the hoodie that fit me like a dress and put on the over the knee socks with my converse and backwards hat I was already wearing then was ready.

"Ohhh Cariah??? Where you at though?" I heard Colby saying. I opened the bathroom door and found him.

"Wow. You look....better in the hoodie than I do for sure"

"Thanks but I don't know about that" I said. He wanted to take selfies so we did and then we got in his car.

"So where are we going? And why did I need to wear one of your hoodies?" I asked.

"Well you didn't have to wear that specific hoodie I just grabbed the first hoodie I saw because it's a little cold out here" he said.

"So where are we going?"

"Just for a drive" he said as he pulled out of the driveway.

Colby ended up taking me to a random spot that had a cliff that looked over LA. The lights and everything were absolutely beautiful. We were sitting on the trunk of his car.

"Did you already know about this spot or did you happen to find it?" I asked.

"I already knew about it. My roommates and I did an overnight video and we past by here to get where we were going. But once I saw this place I thought it would be a great place to bring a girl I really like" he said before he looking over to me.

"And I'm gonna take a wild guess that I'm not the first one you brought up here" I said.

"Actually. You are. Look Cariah, I know you're 17 and I'm 29. But I really like you. And I know I said we should take things slow but if you're up for it. I'd really like to take you out on a real date" he said.

"I don't know Colby. I mean you were in love with my mom. I'm just scared you only like me because I remind you of her and you miss her"

"I thought that too. In fact when I first saw you the other day I couldn't help but realize that you look so much like your mom. And yeah I was in love with her and I'll always love her but once I started talking to you and actually getting to know you, I realized you're not you're mom. You're Cariah. You may look like her and remind me of her but you definitely are different than her" he said.

"Can I ask you something kinda personal?"

"Yeah"

"How many times did you and my mom have sex?" I asked.

"We actually never did"

"Wait really? You guys were together for like 8 months and never had sex?" I asked shocked.

"Well for me it was never about having sex. I mean yeah I wanted to do it but she was pregnant and I just felt kinda weird thinking about having sex with her while she was pregnant. And once you were born she was already gone" he said as he looked down.

"I'm sorry Colby. I can't imagine how painful it must be to lose the girl you were in love with" I said as I rubbed his back.

"It was but, that was 17 years ago. I'm fine now. It just sucks to think about"

"Yeah I wish I could have gotten to know her. Based on the way everyone talks about it it seems like she was a great woman. And I wish I could tell her what a douche my dad is" I said causing him to laugh.

"Yeah I think your mom would be very upset about her having to leave you with him. I know she would have given you a way better life" he said as he looked at me. I leaned in and so did he. We kissed before I pulled away.

"Yes" i said.

"Yes what?" He asked.

"I'll go on a real date with you" he smiled and pulled me in for another kiss.

"Let's go to the backseat of the car" I said.
