A (Ch.16) <1>

So everyone knows now except Roman. I am such a horrible person. I told everyone but the man I loved... Well, technically Patton and Deceit found out themselves but still. 

"You ok over there, firestarter? You look like you're about to cry." I just smiled. Roman hasn't let me out of his sight since last night. It's weird but I don't really care. He's been going at it with the names though. "Now you're laughing. Is there something wrong with that emo head of yours? Did your brain get fried?"

"No, I am good." It's been nice. Everything has if I'm being honest. I had completely forgotten we were even in the hollow. Of course, as soon as I remembered, I had a slight panic attack but hey, small step's right?

"So you are ok then?" I looked up to see Roman looking at me with such serious eyes. "Because if your not you can..."

"Roman I'm fine really. What's gotten into you?" He just looked away and sighed.

"I don't know what you mean."

"You haven't left my side, not once since I got up this morning..."

"Afternoon..."

"Tomato tom... you know what it doesn't matter. The point is there is obviously something upsetting you."

"What's a matter kiddos, you're both looking so glum." Patton came up and sat next to me with Logan right beside him. Deceit just stood, leaning on the wall. 

"Nothing Da... I mean Patton."

"THERE YOU GO AGAIN!" Roman stood, yelling and throwing his arms in the air.

"Roman... I..."

"YOU'VE BEEN DOING THIS SINCE WE FIRST SAW EACH OTHER." He crossed his arms and sat back down. I upset him but I don't know how.

"I don't know what you're talking about. If I upset you then please..."

"YES, YOU UPSET ME! YOU'VE ROYALLY PISSED ME OFF." Deceit took a step closer and Patton took ahold of my hand. Logan straightened his tie and I could tell he was getting mad as well.

"The tell what I..."

"You're a god damn asshole. You've done nothing but hide things from me. WHY ME? WHY IS IT JUST ME? What did you think I wouldn't notice?" He was looking at me with such anger, I could feel my eyes start to water.

"Kiddo.."

"NO PATTON. I AM TIRED OF THIS SHIT. I've been nothing but patent this entire time. I've been nothing but understanding. He just doesn't care. He doesn't give a shit. This is what I hate."

"Roman..." Deceit said as he got even closer.

"This is what I hate about him." I can't... the world was beginning to spin around me. I grabbed ahold a Patton's hand tighter but I still felt like I was falling.

"ROMAN." Deceit was trying to get his attention but it wasn't working.

"THIS IS WHY I HATED HIM!" Everyone just sat there in shock. I just stood up. I was hollow, empty. He said it. He said he hated me. Huh, the one person that could literally kill me. Funny isn't it? "Wait, I'm sorry! I didn't mean..."

"It's quite alright Roman. You were honest with how you felt. I'm glad you told me." I forced a smile and walked away before anyone could see me break. 

"Vir..." Roman stopped and sighed. "I'm sorry."

My phone started ringing pulling me from my thoughts. I picked it up and my heart sank. I could hear crying in the background. I could hear static and explosions and fire. I was already off the bed and running to get my stuff by the time the person actually spoke.

"A... Y-You need to come b-back!"

"CARA WHAT HAPPENED? Where are you? Where's your sister?"

"They... They took her. They took Sarah. They came in and everyone just... She told me to hide and she... I didn't listen... A please. I need you to..."I could hear as she started coughing in the background

"I'm on my way."

"A... They... they were looking for you..." Shit!

"It'll be ok. I'll figure something out. I'll..."

"They know your alive."

"It. will. be. ok. Trust in me Cara."

"Please A, Save Sarah. Save my sister."

"Just stay safe we'll be there soon."

"It's to.." Again with the coughing. It sounded wet like she was coughing up... OH NO. "It's too late for me. Just... save... her..." The line went dead and I just stared at the phone in utter horror.

"A?" I heard Lucas' voice behind me. I turned to look at him and saw everyone standing there behind him. "A what's wrong? Did Sarah finally call back? Is everything ok?" I started to cry. "Please A... Tell me everything is ok."

"Kiddo?"

"We... We have to go back." Lucas' eyes went wide and he fell to the floor. Patton ran up to try to comfort him but the others stayed back, taking everything in. "There's been another attack."
