Jungkook's POV

Antiseptic. Bright lights. A soft, feminine hum. My senses felt bombarded as I slowly regained consciousness. I didn't open my eyes quite yet, I felt the need to assess my body for damages with no clue as to why I felt this need. I slowly wiggled my toes and felt out for any signs of pain from my body. I felt completely fine other than a small ache in the center of my collarbone. Deciding to finally open my eyes, I winced at the bright light seeming to shine down directly on me. As I let my eyes begin to adjust to the light, I focused again on the feminine humming I heard from earlier. Soft and faint, I turned to my right to find the source of the noise. A girl, small and folded in on herself as to protect herself from something. Her knees folded up to her chest with her head resting gently atop them. She was wearing dark skinny jeans, a black and grey marbled hoodie and black lace up boots that stopped at her ankles. She had black hair that looked soft to the touch, pulled back into a messy bun atop her head. Her eyes were closed and her long, dark lashes cast shadows against her pale skin. Almost like a smooth ivory with just the smallest freckle above the left corner of her mouth. Her full, pouting lips were a deep, dark pink and extremely distracting to look at much to my surprise. Realizing I had been staring this whole time and probably coming off rather creepy, I sat up slowly and spoke.

"Um, excuse me miss, but where am I?"

She did not respond and only then did I notice the large headphones over her ears and i-pod in her hand. Keeping an eye on her profile, I slowly stood up and made my way over to the bed she was sitting on. Taking in my surroundings as I went, I appeared to be in a room that resembled an infirmary. Pale grey walls and 2 beds, the walls were lined with shelves holding what must be medical supplies and trays with medical instruments and bandages on them, I briefly wondered at how I got here. As I tried to think back a sharp pain flashed through my head. Holding the heel of my hand to my forehead above my eye, I realized with a shocked breath that I could not remember anything. Feeling slightly panicked, I was drawn again to the girl who had been humming earlier that was now softly singing.

"He used to meet me on the Eastside
In the city where the sun don't set
And every day you know where we ride
Through the backstreets in a blue Corvette
And baby, you know I just wanna leave tonight
We can go anywhere we want
Drive down to the coast, jump in the seat
Just take my hand and come with me"

I was enthralled momentarily by her voice, soft and melodic, I felt a tightness in my chest at the words she sang and felt uneasy at the feeling. I stood directly next to her at this point and smelled a woodsy vanilla scent coming off of her that made me want a candle that smelled the same. I reached out and touched the dark hoodie she wore gently. Her eyes flew open in shock and with a small yelp she proceeded to fall off the opposite side of the bed, landing on her butt on the floor. I stifled a laugh as I rushed over to the side of the bed where she was leaning on her left hip and rubbing her butt in pain. Her headphones had fallen off during her fall so she heard me this time as I spoke.

"I'm so sorry for scaring you, are you alright?"

She looked up at me with wide eyes and her mouth parted into a small oh when taking in me standing in front of her. Her eyes were the blue of a stormy sea with just the smallest bit of gold around her pupils. Ripping my gaze away from her eyes as I had been looking at them for too long, I offered her my hand to help her up. She took my hand and after feeling the softness of her hand in mine, in shock I pulled her up but with more force than intended. She flew up quickly and with the unintended force of my pull, she crashed into my chest, nose hitting just under my collarbone. I looked down with heat creeping into my cheeks and noticed her standing frozen against me. Her hand in mine and my other hand on her waist while hers rested lightly on my chest, I stepped back hastily realizing our position. Clearing my throat, I spoke again.

"Ahem, I'm sorry for scaring you before, my name is Jungkook. I'm afraid I don't know where I am or how I got here, would you possibly know anything?" She paused for a moment and bit her lip lightly. She looked up at me with her large eyes and flushed cheeks and spoke hesitantly.

"I'm Roxana, but you can call me Rox. I don't know your past Jungkook but I can tell you where you are, you are at Noctem Academy, a place for hybrids."
