Jungkook's POV
I stepped out into the unnaturally quiet room with Rox following closely behind me. All eyes watched us as we moved back to the couch that we had originally been sitting on. I forced myself to look straight ahead and not make eye contact with anyone, knowing that if I did, my face would turn bright red. Rox was staring at the floor, I'm assuming for the same reason. Finally making it back to the couch, I sat down and Rox stared at the empty spot between me and Tae with Yoongi still on his lap. Panic was filling her eyes at the thought of sitting between us which brought an ache to my chest. Before things could become more awkward, I grabbed her wrist lightly and tugged her down into her seat. She yelped quietly as she landed between us, losing her balance only to have both me and Yoongi reach out to catch her shoulders to steady her.
I glanced at Yoongi who looked back at me with forced patience and a hint of jealousy brimming in his eyes. I swallowed roughly and looked away from his piercing gaze. The uneasy silence of the room was broken by the sound of a door slamming shut. Looking for the source of the noise after feeling Rox jump beside me, I noticed that Changkyun was now missing. Figuring the sound must have been him leaving, I brushed it off without worry. At this point the game continued with me daring Luca to cuddle with Hobi for the rest of the game, knowing they were both straight. It served as a small form of amusement and distraction from the thoughts and feelings raging through me. Anything to keep me from mentally reliving the scene in the closet, if I did I don't think I'd be able to keep control of myself. I could still smell her on my skin and it drove me insane to have her so near to me.
She had finally relaxed into the couch and was idly playing with Jimin's hair while observing the game. Trying to find anything to draw my attention away from her, I thought back to when I had woken up here. Thinking of this reminded me of my lack of memories beforehand and made me question why it was necessary. I tried to push at the wall that appeared to be blocking my mind, I felt like I needed to remember something but it was blocked. Mentally pushing at the wall proved futile and only resorted in a headache. I was snapped back into reality when the door to the room opened, letting in a girl. Upon closer inspection I noticed it was the blonde girl I had seen in the courtyard before Rox ran off.
Her eyes scanned the room until they landed on me, a smirk stretching across her face. She slowly started walking to me and I felt Rox stiffen up next to me when she noticed her presence.
"What are you doing here Elena? You weren't invited for a multitude of reasons."
I tore my gaze away from the girl in front of me to look at Jimin who had spoken. I was surprised at Jimin's tone which was cold and harsh, something I had not known he was capable of. I looked around the room to find that all the guys were now standing with an aura of defensiveness surrounding them. Confusion muddled my mind as the smirking girl, Elena, appeared to roll her eyes before turning to face Jimin.
"Why if it isn't our resident faery prince. I mean no harm, just wanted to introduce myself to the new guy, I mean he is the talk of the academy."
After this she turned back to me, flipping her long, curly, pale golden hair over her shoulder and focusing back on me.
"Hi Jungkook, I'm Elena, it's necessary for us to meet." She held her hand out to me, not in the manner of a handshake but more like I was supposed to kiss it. I glanced dismissively at her hand and then back up to her. Her eyes were a greenish gold and glinted with amusement.
"I see you have the arrogance and pride of your bloodline. Perfect. I'm going to let you in on a little secret sweetheart. It would be in your best interest to drop the parasitic whore you've been flouncing around with, it is rather distasteful to associate with her kind."
She had turned her attention to Rox during this and sneered the last comment as Rox shrunk into the couch. I opened my mouth to speak only to find myself unable to as she met my eyes and leaned closer to me. Her face filled my focus and my vision became hazy until she was torn away from my sight.
Shaking off the hazy feeling I looked up to find Elena against the wall with Rowan's hand curled around her throat. To my surprise no one appeared to try and stop her but merely watched with hard looks in their eyes. I was pulled to my feet and pushed away from the couch by Kai while Loki sat in my vacated spot and pulled Rox into her arms. I noticed to my surprise that Rox was crying and Yoongi, Jimin and Tae appeared to form a protective wall around her. Hearing a low growling my attention was drawn back to Rowan and Elena. Elena still with a smirk plastered across her face and Rowan with glowing blue green eyes and her nails turned into claws, pricking Elena's skin and drawing blood.
"You'll watch your tongue when you speak about Rox and Jungkook is none of your concern." Rowan's voice raised the hair on my arms, a haunting song laced into her words. Elena laughed roughly and met my eyes again, my vision became hazy again. Kai grabbed my arm and squeezed, pulling me out of the hazy state.
"I only speak the truth about her kind, they are parasites, a plague to hybrids. Jungkook deserves to know the misfortune she brings and he is my concern as he won't be yours for long. His fate and mine are bound, a silly little parasite can't dampen that. I'm actually surprised at all of you for bearing to be in her presence. Especially you Riley, and all you other girls. Save these three mongrels and the boys, I figured you'd be smarter about the company you keep."
Elena's eyes shot to the girls in the room, huddled closely together behind Riley as her eyes danced over each one of them. Riley did not shy away from her gaze, she merely cocked her head to the side and crossed her arms.
"I may not be friends with Roxana but its not hard to prefer her company to yours, no matter her breed." The girls behind Riley appeared to echo her statement as Elena's face twisted into a gleeful smile.
"Well, well little mosquito, seems you've built yourself quite the army here. No matter though, no matter how large your following, you won't be able to stop the inevitable."
After her statement the door slammed open again as the two guys that had been with Changkyun before entered the room. They strutted up to Rowan and Elena, yanking Rowan away from her and tossing her into Yoongi. Yoongi caught Rowan and held her in place as the room erupted. Before Tae, Luca and Jimin could rush those three, Joon's voice boomed around us.
"Enough. You're done here Elena, take Khan and Gideon with you and leave, you aren't welcome here." An electric green that matched the new color of his eyes started to blaze around Joon. Elena appeared to open her mouth to speak only to be cut off again by Joon.
"Unless that is, you want to take us all on, because you're right, she does have quite the army here and we will protect her and Jungkook at all costs." I looked around me to find that everyone other than me and Rox were now standing in an aggressive stance. Even little Ayu appeared to be standing defensively without hiding behind Riley. Elena let her gaze sweep the room, landing again on me.
"No matter, this won't be the last time you see me, come boys, it's time we take our leave."
With that parting comment she strode past everyone to the door with Khan and Gideon following. Before she left she cast me a quick smile and wink over her shoulder before letting the door slam behind her.
