Chapter 23

Jungkook's POV

I flew through the sky at a brisk pace, feeling the wind against my wings as I forced all my concentration on the way back and not on the girl in my arms. It was easier said than done especially when she wiggled around in my arms to get a more stable grip on me, unknowingly pushing her soft body more firmly against mine. I swallowed harshly as I became increasingly more aware of what parts of her body were pressed against mine. My wings faltered as my body reacted to her, causing us to stagger in the air for a moment. She must have panicked as she squeaked and in an attempt to hold me tighter, she slipped out of my hands.

Before she could fall, I grabbed her quickly and harshly in my panic, pulling her to me brashly without thinking. I wish I would have at least thought that part through. In the process of me trying to grab back onto her thighs to keep her with me, I miscalculated where they were and ended up planting my hands firmly on her ass. Being that I thought it was her thighs, I squeezed, attempting a secure grip. While pulling her back up to me, I used more strength than intended and pulled her further up my body than before, planting my face, accidentally, right in her cleavage. This situation could only turn from bad to worse as Rox got flustered and flailed in my hold. At this point with a flailing Rox in my arms and my own attempts to control myself, my wings faltered and we plummeted to the ground.

Rox's POV

We were flying just fine and the next thing I know, I'm slipping away from Jungkook. He reached out to grab me before I could actually fall but happened to grab me by my ass. That's right, his hands were planted firmly on my ass and squeezing it on top of the already awkward situation. My face flamed up but the awkwardness didn't end there. Jungkook pulled me up to hold onto me again but instead of pulling me to where I was, he pulled me up higher on his body, landing his face right in between my boobs. I felt like my face was going to burn off from how hard I was blushing and on instinct, tried to get away from how close he was. My instincts failed me as I flailed around therefore causing Jungkook to plummet straight towards the ground in surprise.

We fell through a few trees, the branches scratching my exposed skin as we neared the ground at a fast pace. I closed my eyes and braced for impact but felt nothing other than a soft bump, I then heard a pain filled groan from underneath me. I pulled myself up and looked down to see Jungkook under me with his eyes closed and a look of pain on his face. I became worried and scanned him for any other possible injuries before stopping suddenly and staring at his neck. My vision clouded and then focused on a specific part of his neck, where a dark red liquid was leaking out slowly. Nestled right in the crook between his shoulder and neck, a river of blood began to leak from the wound on Jungkook. I was overwhelmed by the scent of oranges and cinnamon coming from him as I felt my fangs extend. In the back of my mind I panicked but only in the back of my mind, my vampire senses were taking over. I could faintly hear Jungkook's voice saying my name as a question but I paid no heed to it. He attempted to move but before he could remove me, in a movement faster than a human could muster, I pinned his wrists above his head with my much smaller hands. I looked at his face, beautiful and contorted into a mixture of fear, awe and a hint of excitement. The vampire in me felt pleased at this look while the sane part of me froze in horror at what I was doing. His dark eyes searched mine and widened when noticing my fully extended fangs.

"Um, Rox? Rox, can you let me go?" Jungkook spoke quietly, fighting against my hold and trying to lift his body under mine. I felt my face contort in displeasure and tightened my grip on his wrists while grinding my hips down on him to keep him still. His eyes doubled in size and he swallowed harshly while his face turned red. My gaze focused on his bleeding neck again as I leaned down towards his neck slowly. I could vaguely hear him telling me to think about what I was doing and asking me to stop. He struggled against me, exciting my vampire instincts as I held him tighter. My lips were now brushing his neck as both of our breaths were coming out harshly. He whimpered my name softly and I darted my tongue out to taste the blood coming from his throat.

Jungkook's POV

I felt pain, after turning us in the air to take the brunt of the fall for Rox. I groaned from the pain radiating from my back and tried to get over the worst of it. I slowly opened my eyes to see Rox focused on what appeared to be my neck. Her eyes were a blood red and pupils growing larger.

"Rox?" I said her name as question and received no answer, getting a bad feeling at her focus on my neck, I attempted to sit up and remove her from straddling my lap where she was positioned directly over a particularly sensitive part of my anatomy. She looked at me with those red eyes and promptly took hold of my wrists with surprising strength and pinned them above my head in her small hands. I stared at her with conflicting emotions and after looking into her eyes, noticed nervously that her fangs were fully extended now as she watched me.

"Um, Rox? Rox, can you let me go?" I moved my body underneath her, attempting to shake her off and moved my wrists, trying to break her hold. Rox looked at me with displeasure on her beautiful face and tightened her grips on my wrists. She then did something unexpected and ground her hips against mine roughly, making the already sensitive part of me flare up at her actions. My eyes widened and I swallowed harshly at the sensation, enjoying it far too much for our friendship to remain just friends. She began to lean down towards my neck slowly and I spoke one more time, trying to bring her back to her senses.

"Rox, think about this, think about what you're doing, you don't want this. Please stop Rox." She ignored the last attempt I made to stop what I knew was coming. I struggled against her, praying for my strength to win out but she held me down with no issues. I then felt her soft lips brush my neck and I froze. I tried not to be affected by her but my breath and hers were coming out harshly anyways. Her hot breath brushed against my neck and I whimpered out her name, losing control quickly as she got closer to my neck. Then I felt it, her tongue languidly dragging its way across the sensitive skin of my neck. My breath left me as she then latched her lips over the spot she just licked on my neck and sucked slowly. I groaned quietly as she ground her hips against mine and continued sucking on my neck. She pulled away after hearing the noise escape me and looked at me curiously.

My blood was smudged across her lips and her eyes glowed red as she cocked her head to the side. She looked terrifyingly beautiful and let go of my wrists slowly. I sat up with her still on my lap, our faces were inches apart and the air was tense. After glancing at my lips quickly, Rox crashed her mouth onto mine, I could taste my blood on her lips and tongue. Her hands cradled my face and I gripped her waist tightly as she kissed me harshly, biting on my lip roughly. I groaned and licked her bottom lip, begging for entrance and she granted it happily. Her hands went to my hair and tugged lightly as I explored her mouth slowly with my tongue. I turned us over so she laid beneath me without breaking to kiss. She pulled my hair a bit more and wrapped her legs around my waist as my hands ran down her sides to land on her ass. I squeezed her ass in my hands lightly and she moaned into my mouth quietly. I kissed her harder, spurred on by her noises until I heard something I did not expect.

"Rox?! Jungkook?!" We broke apart immediately at the sound of our names and looked up to see Kai and Tae staring at us, open mouthed. I looked back at Rox whose eyes were blue again and twice their size, looking back at me. My blood still stained her now swollen lips and I still held her intimately against me. Fuck.
