Rowan's POV

Rox was sitting in her bed, under the covers and looking weary but weirdly glowy. I shifted from side to side under her curious gaze, me and Rox had never been very close. To tell the truth I wasn't very close with anyone, everyone knew next to nothing about me. I preferred it that way, I didn't want to allow anyone close enough to hurt me. Nobody knew that I had actually regained my memories and no one cared to ask anything personal. I knew Rox, Loki and Kai trusted me but none of them have ever tried to know me. Even without them knowing me, I still cared though, I just have issues expressing emotions. When I found myself wandering past my room and stopping in front of Rox's door, I was surprised to say the least. So here I was, not knowing what to say or do, just standing awkwardly in Rox's room while her gaze bored into me.

"Did you need something Rowan?" My silence must have worried her as her eyebrows were now furrowing above her eyes.

"I-I'm not sure why I'm here honestly, I was worried about you I suppose." She watched me quietly for a moment before getting out of her bed to walk over to me. I froze as she wrapped her arms around me and hugged me tightly, resting her forehead on my shoulder. I awkwardly let my hands drift up to pat her head and shoulder blades while my mind whirled around in confusion.

"Thank you for coming to check on me Rowan, I know this isn't a common thing for you." She pulled away and let go of me and I shifted from foot to foot again, not sure what to say. She smiled tentatively at me and in my desperate state of being uncomfortable, I searched her room for anything else to talk about. My eyes landed on an empty blood bag in her garbage can and I realized she must have had blood. Well that would explain the glowy thing.

"You're drinking blood now?" She looked surprised for a moment before following my eyes and chuckling softly to herself.

"Well not really, it's a long story." I merely stared at her in question, she sighed quietly and sat on the edge of her bed. After a moment she began telling me what had happened after her and Jimin left the room. She told me about almost going into a vampiric coma, feeding on Jimin, trying to drink bagged blood, rejecting it and then feeding on Yoongi. She told me in explicit detail and I found myself feeling relatively bored with all of it until she began talking about Yoongi. As she described feeding on Yoongi I felt my cheeks start to redden which only got worse when she told me about kissing him in the bathroom. I mentally shook myself in confusion and frustration at these new found emotions.

I sat in silence until she finished her story and after finishing she looked at me expectantly. I blinked before realizing this is where I was supposed to respond.

"Uh, sounds like quite the experience. That explains why you are all glowy and why it seemed like you were expecting someone when I got here." She nodded with small smile on her face before a knock sounded on her door. I moved out of the way just before the red haired faery boy shot into her room. He immediately spotted me and looked rather surprised at my presence.

"Oh hey Rowan, didn't know you were here, am I interrupting something?" I shook my head as I took in his pajamas with a vague amusement. He had on Tinkerbell pajama pants and a shirt that stated "I'm not short, I'm fun sized!" in big pink letters. I had to hand it to him, he was relatively entertaining.

"I was actually just leaving, you guys get some rest."

"Wait Rowan, thank you again for coming to check on me and listening to me, really I mean it." I felt myself growing uncomfortable again and nodded briskly before leaving the room quickly. After the door shut behind me I felt a wee bit calmer but not completely. Knowing I wouldn't be able to sleep when I had emotions coursing through me, I decided to go to my spot to relax.

I strolled through the courtyard, relishing in the silence that only night can bring you. The moon was going to be full tomorrow night though one could mistake it for being a full moon tonight with how large and bright it was. The wind rustled through my hair as I found myself nearing the edge of the lake. The lake on the academy grounds was my only escape, being a siren hybrid I am naturally drawn to water. Just as I am drawn to it, I feel at home with it, it is the only thing that clears all the static that constantly fills my head.

I sat on the edge of the lake and took off my shoes, allowing my toes to wiggle in the water. My mind instantly cleared and I felt at peace, I don't know why but when I wasn't near water, it became hard to feel anything or be able to sort out anything. Like when I'm away from water everything becomes cloudy and grey. It's why most believe I don't have emotions, being near water is the only time I can show or feel them completely and clearly. Being the only siren, I have no one to ask if this is normal and even with my memories, I still have nothing.

I heard a soft rustling behind me and I immediately allowed the hybrid side of me to emerge. I turned to see who the threat was and froze at the sight of Yoongi standing there, red eyes glowing and fangs protruding from his lips. My own fangs appeared to vibrate in my mouth, the sign that the siren in me had sensed prey. I quickly pushed the heel of my hand against my fangs to stop the vibrations. Closing my eyes, I focused on calling back the siren side of me and it appeared to be working as I felt my fangs receding. When I opened my eyes again I noticed Yoongi staring hard at my hand which I had just realized, was bleeding from being pushed against my fangs. My cheeks heated up again and I mentally cursed at this new reaction as I immediately turned to the lake and dipped my hand in the water. The water glowed a bright blue and spread into the lake as I felt my hand stitch back together.

"What the fuck is happening to the water?" I jumped at how close Yoongi's voice was to my ear and in the process, lost my balance. Yoongi noticed me beginning to fall and reached out to catch me, only to lose his balance himself. His surprised face was the last thing I saw before we both toppled into the glowing blue waters.
