Jungkook's POV
"You really think a party is gonna change any of this? He asked her on a date and this whole time, everything that has happened between us, I told her it was just as friends." Tae didn't say anything, he just stared at me with his dark eyes while appearing to contemplate something. Suddenly his mouth started to form a pretty creepy looking smirk and I felt my stomach flip at the sight, already dreading what thought made him smirk like that.
"Kook, I think you need to pregame with me and Jimin." I felt my brows scrunch up at his suggestion, not knowing what he meant.
"Pregame?"
"Do you trust me Kook?" I did trust him but that smirk worried me, nevertheless I felt myself nodding my head slowly as his smirk grew wider. Tae then took out his phone and immediately began calling someone.
"Luca? Yes, I need you to retrieve Jimin for me and accompany me, Jimin and Kook before the party. We are gonna pregame this afternoon and I'll need you at the end." Tae firmly nodded his head once before ending the call and standing up on the branch.
"Well Kook, be a good boy and take us back to the dorm, we need to get you ready for tonight." I gulped at Tae's hand held out in front of me, stomach dropping in worry but after thinking of Rox and the possibility of winning her heart, my hesitancy was gone and I took his hand, standing up. He grinned widely at me and gestured to the sky, I felt my wings break free and slowly lifted myself into the air, just slightly above Tae. I gripped under his arms and took flight towards our dorm, praying the whole way that Tae was right, that this party would change things in my favor.
Jimin's POV
Rox appeared nervous at the news of who I had invited to the party, but I needed specific people for my plans to work out right, like pieces on a chess board. Though I wasn't counting on Yoongi straying from the path I had predicted. Watching him now, you could see the longing in his eyes as he watched Rox while she paced, I should have known. Rox appeared oblivious to Yoongi's stare as she appeared lost in her own train of thought, where it led to I could only guess. Watching the small girl, I prayed that I was right about her, especially now that Jungkook has caught the attention of HER. Elena, beautiful, blonde and deadly. I shuddered at the memory of her and feared for Jungkook, he didn't know enough. I would spare anyone from having to cross paths with the bitch. I felt my anger building as I lost myself in my memories. Yoongi and Rox must have noticed as they both stopped and looked at me, cocking their heads in unison. If I had been more composed, I would be extremely creeped out at the similarities in their movements. Rox approached me cautiously and laid a soft hand against my cheek, making me realize I had been crying much to my shock. Before she could ask, Yoongi laid a hand on her shoulder, shaking his head as her attention shifted to him. She bit her lip softly and nodded before turning back to me and smiling sweetly and hugging me. I stiffened at the unexpected affection but returned the hug almost immediately after, feeling a warmth I'd thought I'd forgotten spread through my body. I knew it then, I was right about her, she would be his salvation and his only shield. This had to work, it had to, by any means necessary. I felt my phone began to vibrate in my pocket, breaking me from my train of thought as I fished it out to see Luca's name on my screen. I answered curiously as it was rare for Luca to call anyone but Tae and Loki.
"Hey Luca, what's up?" Rox was still hugging me at this point and Yoongi had returned to cocking his head at me.
"Lord Taehyung requests that you 'pregame' with him and Jungkook before the party tonight." I smiled mischievously to myself at the offer, this was exactly what I needed to take my mind off things.
"Where and when?"
"I am waiting for you outside Rox's door, the others are getting ready."
"Alright, I'll be out in a minute." I hung up my phone and removed myself from Rox's hug and stepped towards the door.
"The party is tonight at 9 in our common room, don't be late lovebirds." I smiled in satisfaction at the glaring red that covered Yoongi and Rox's faces as I stepped out the door to meet Luca. Tonight was going to be epic, and pregaming just made it that much more interesting.
Rox's POV
Jimin left my room after that comment, shutting the door and leaving me and Yoongi alone in my bedroom. Risking a glance at Yoongi I saw him staring rather intensely at my wall with his face growing slightly more and more red. Though embarrassing, I could not find the silence or the fact that we were alone uncomfortable. I felt relaxed in his presence and after constantly feeling on edge around Jungkook, I felt I could breathe easier. I sighed in contentment as Yoongi shifted his gaze to me, a soft smile gracing his lips as he took a step closer to me.
"Do the parties Jimin throw usually go well?" Yoongi appeared a little startled by my question but I couldn't help but feeling a nervous flip in my stomach at the thought of this party. He sighed quietly and rubbed the back of his neck mindlessly while covering his eyes with his hair, I don't think he noticed these actions. It took a minute before he spoke, almost hesitantly when he did.
"They go well but can get pretty um intense if that's the word for it. Sometimes Jimin can get kind of carried away but don't worry Rox, I'll always watch over you." He ended his sentence with stepping close to me and looking me seriously in the eyes. I felt myself flush at his statement and got nervous at the description of what Jimin's parties can be like. By now Yoongi was standing almost flush against me and I could feel my heart thudding in my chest at his nearness. He reached out and slowly tucked my hair behind my ear while staring at me with his beguiling eyes. His hand slowly traced a path from behind my ear, to brushing against my neck to my shoulder, slowly making his way down my arm to my hand with his. The intimacy of the moment stole my breath as he slowly lifted my hand to his lips, never breaking eye contact.
"Until this evening Roxana," his voice rumbled out, sounding deeper than usual. I suppressed a shiver as he gently but firmly laid his lips on my hand again, kissing it and making my stomach flip. He smirked against my hand at my intake of breath while still holding my gaze and let my hand go gently. Saying nothing more, he turned and exited my room, leaving me alone and in a mess of emotions. For the first time since I woke up at Noctem Academy, I felt torn between two boys and had no idea what to do about it.
