Taehyung opened his door, letting us into his room. Before I could step inside after him, Rox stopped me with a hand on my arm.
"Hey, me and the girls are gonna head back to our rooms to freshen up before dinner, will you be okay alone with Taehyung? If not I will stay with you." She looked up at me with her big eyes, concern running through them. She bit her lip lightly while waiting for my answer and managed to distract me momentarily. I felt a weight settle across my shoulders, and heard Taehyung's deep voice from my side.
"He will be alright with me Roxana, you go relax for a bit before dinner, I'll take care of him." Rox looked worriedly at me and glanced at Taehyung's arm across my shoulders. After a slight nudge from Taehyung I nodded down at Rox.
"I'll be okay, I'll see you at dinner alright?" She looked nervous but nodded back at me with a small smile. With that parting smile, Rox and the girls left, leaving me alone with Taehyung who removed his arm from my shoulders and walked further into his room. Taehyung's bed was set against the opposite wall and had a canopy of black drapes hanging above it. His walls were black with a filigree design in a dark grey on them. He had 2 three drawer bedside tables and a large white dresser to my left. At the end of his bed rested a gold bench. He had a gold chaise lounge and couch in the center of his room and a large TV mounted to the wall at my right, like Jin's, taking up most of the wall. To the left of his bed was the door to the bathroom. Curiosity taking over, I walked over to the doorway to look into the bathroom.

His bathroom had white and gold marbled walls. His floor was tiled and white with a black design swirling on the floor, to my left was a sink with a vanity mirror that turned into a full vanity further down the wall. They were encased in what appeared to be onyx with veins of ivory. To my right a bathtub with the same ivory and onyx design atop more ivory and gold marble. Just past the tub was another walk in shower like Jin's, bigger than necessary and with glass doors and a shower head built into the ceiling.

"You're a weird kid, you know that?" I jumped at Taehyung's deep voice behind me as I flushed with guilt and embarrassment. Taehyung sighed and grabbed my shoulder, leading me back into the bedroom and nudging me down to sit on the couch. He was putting various items of clothing into what appeared to be an overnight bag on his bed and after glancing at my feet for a moment, some shoes as well.
"So what's going on with you and Rox?" Taehyung's question caught me off guard as he sat down on the bench in front of his bed and eyed me.
"Nothing is going on, she is just helping me get settled in."
"Listen Kook, I'm not blind, I see the way you look at her and the way she looks at you. She likes you, if you aren't serious about liking her though, you might wanna cut the cord before it's too late. Kai may not look like she can hurt people, but trust me she can and she will for Roxana. Not to mention the whole vampire thing and how that would affect you in the long run here. Like I said if you aren't serious, cut and run now, before things get bad." I was confused at everything Taehyung said, well everything other than Kai being able to hurt people. Thinking back to her fangs popping out and eyes turning orange in anger, I had no doubt she could and would hurt me. Why did she have fangs anyway?
"First off, it's not like that between me and Rox and I fully believe you about the Kai thing," I shuddered slightly at the thought of Kai being angry, "and what do you mean 'vampire thing'? I know Rox is a vampire but that shouldn't make her different from any of the other hybrids here, we are all something." Taehyung chuckled at me shuddering at the mention of Kai but when I questioned him about the vampire thing, he looked pensive.
"I suppose you wouldn't know about the vampire stigma, being new and everything. See there is a list of hybrids here, the good and accepted are towards the top, the bad and outcasted are at the bottom. Vampires just happen to be the very bottom of that list, they are seen as parasites, even worse than demons and are often outcasted and bullied to 'teach them their place'," Taehyung looked disgusted as he spoke about vampires being outcasted, "there are only two living vampires known to exist right now and Roxana is one of them. Yoongi is the other one but no one messes with him because he is downright terrifying sometimes and he is friends with Jin. Jin is a Nephilim, Nephilim are at the very top of the list and Jin is the only one known to exist. So since they can't get to Yoongi, people go after Roxana, it's dangerous for her to be alone. Rowan, Kai and Loki are usually always with her to prevent things from happening but there have been times they weren't and I don't like remembering how Roxana looked after those times." Taehyung winced at whatever he had been remembering. "Since you're new meat, you'll be targeted for hanging around Roxana. Unfortunately the only people accepting of vampires are on this floor, or just walked out that door." The anger I had felt at the mention of Rox being bullied only grew the more Taehyung had talked. I felt enraged and disgusted at the thought of people hurting her. A wave of protectiveness for the girl washed over me and I knew at that moment, that I would not allow anyone to hurt her anymore, I would protect her. That's what friends did right? I looked at Taehyung and he must have noticed the look in my eyes as he sat back a little bit and widened his eyes.
"I will protect her, she is my friend, I won't leave her or let them hurt her." Taehyung merely raised his eyebrows and nodded.
"So you haven't asked what I am, aren't you curious?" His swift change of topic took all the wind out of my sails so to say, surprising me at the information he offered.
"Honestly I'm curious as to what all of you are but didn't want to ask." Taehyung laughed loudly at my statement.
"Well I'll do you a favor and tell you what everyone is. Rowan is a siren, Kai is a kitsune, Loki is a succubus and me? Well Kook, I'm the son of a demon lord."
