Blood Tie

Chapter 10

Rox's POV

I felt useless, as I stayed frozen in fear against the wall and could not move, I watched my friends quickly begin to lose control and could not do anything to stop them.

Rowan's eyes began to glow brighter than they had been as Changkyun struggled against her. Rowan's siren side began to win in the battle for control as she licked Changkyun's neck slowly, trying to seduce him long enough to kill him. Changkyun's eyes widened as he gulped when he felt her tongue against his neck. Rowan scraped her fangs against where her tongue just licked and whispered in her siren voice into his ear. Changkyun's eyes turned back to black but lost the sheen of awareness in them. He fell under her spell and just as she was about to tear out his throat and devour his essence, the door next to me opened.

"Well fucking shit." I glanced up at Jin in shock at his language, standing in the doorway with 3 others behind him, taking in the scene. He glanced down at me and after scanning me to see no injuries, he focused on Rowan, about to actually kill Changkyun. He approached her back cautiously and laid a gentle hand on her shoulder. Noticing who the other 3 people with him were, I stared up at them in panic. Taehyung, Luca and Jungkook all stared at the scene in shock, Taehyung and Luca focusing on Kai and Loki. They began to move forward to help only to be stopped by Jin's hand. Other hand resting on Rowan's shoulder as she had froze under his touch, Jin looked back at the 3.

"Do not move yet, until I get Rowan off him, any movement could send her into a frenzy. I need to remove her first, she is lost to her hybrid side." I stared at my friend in fear of what the next few seconds would hold.

Jin leaned down very slowly and whispered in Rowan's ear, having an ability to control others minds when at full power or be very persuasive when not at full power. His eyes glowed a silvery blue and large golden wings unfurled from his back, wrapping slowly around Rowan to envelope her in them. She slowly let go of Changkyun, who slumped forward and fell to the floor. Rowan fell back into Jin's embrace, becoming unconscious. Jin turned his head back to Taehyung, Luca and Jungkook and nodded slightly at them.

Taehyung rushed over to Kai with a determined stride and wrapped his arms around her torso, trapping her arms to her sides in his embrace. He pulled her back against his chest and lifted her off of Khan. Kai immediately began struggling, thrashing her body back and forth against Taehyung in an attempt to free herself, a crazed look in her orange eyes. Taehyung merely held her tighter against him, a curious look that I could not pinpoint in his eyes. She began thrashing harder and let out whimpered, panicked sounds. After seeing a steely resolve in his eyes, I was shocked as Taehyung bit the back of Kai's neck. Kai went rigid and after her eyes flashed back to green, her body appeared to slump as she lost consciousness. Taehyung turned her slightly and lifted her into the princess carry position, cradling her against his chest. I stared at him still in shock of what I had seen him do to Kai and he refused to meet my eyes.

Luca went briskly to his sister and allowed his wings to sprout from his back. He took to the air and flew over to his sister, cradling her face in his hands gently, he whispered to her and peered into her eyes, a mirror of his own. Loki's face went slack and she numbly let go of a now unconscious Gideon, letting his body fall to the floor in a crumpled heap. Loki immediately threw herself at her brother and curled into a ball as he held her. Luca landed with Loki trembling in his arms, her demeanor now back to normal. Luca kissed her head gently and after a moment of their dual colored eyes meeting each other and a small smile from Luca, Loki's eyes fluttered shut. I let out a breath I didn't know I had been holding and felt a sob break from my lips. Jungkook who had been staring, frozen at the scene before him in horror snapped his head to me when he heard the sob escape from me. He immediately crouched down to me and held me against his chest. When it was clear that my crying wasn't stopping, he sat next to me and pulled me into his lap awkwardly, rocking me back and forth and making shushing noises in my ear. I cried over my friends losing themselves to protect me, I cried over the pain that had been inflicted on me by someone I trusted. I cried over the fact that I had been useless when I was needed and through it all the boy who I barely knew but felt so at ease with, returned the favor I had done earlier today for him, he held me while I broke.

Jungkook's POV

While I was holding the crying girl in my arms, Jin, Taehyung and the boy named Luca, left the room each with a girl in tow, back into the corridor we had come from. I thought back as I held Rox at how we ended up out here in the midst of all this chaos.

Taehyung had told me he was the son of a demon lord and just as I was about to question him, his door was thrown open to show Jin, with his eyes glowing a silvery blue in his doorway with an urgent look on his face. Taehyung immediately stood up, face falling into a serious expression and followed Jin without saying anything. I found myself following after them, pulled by the urgency in Jin's eyes, all thoughts of changing clothes and Taehyung's lineage far from my mind. We stopped briefly at the door at the end of the hall. Before Jin could knock the door opened to reveal a boy with dual colored eyes and short, dark brown hair that was spiked up in the front. I could tell from the eyes that this must be Loki's twin brother Luca. Jin strode forward towards the entrance of the corridor, Taehyung behind him and Luca falling into step beside me. Jin opened the door to reveal a terrifying sight and his words "well fucking shit," summed up my first thought at the sight.

Rowan, the small, quiet girl who I hadn't heard speak even once yet, was holding a boy with black hair and dead looking black eyes, up against a wall. Black claws, glowing blue green eyes and fangs, she looked every bit a monster. Her fangs frozen at his neck as if about to eat him.

Loki floated in the air with large wings flapping lightly behind her and what appeared to be a pointed tail wrapped around the boys neck that she held onto tightly. Eyes completely black and nails as sharp as daggers that were drawing blood on the boys shoulders, she was holding both of them up with her legs wrapped around his waist from the back, a position mocking a piggy back ride but not nearly as innocent and child like. The boy appeared to be a gargoyle like the ones you would see on a cathedral, but was slowly turning back to human.

Kai had a what appeared to be a mix of a boy and a tiger, pinned to the ground under her. Her hands that were sharp to look at and her fangs that snapped in his face repeatedly made her look wild. Her eyes were a flaming orange and had a crazed look to them while her large, fluffy white fox tail flicked uncontrollably in the air.

They all looked like the monsters they were described as; Jin, Taehyung and Luca went to work ceasing the chaos and saving the boys from the clutches of these small girls and I was left in shock as the reality of the world I was living in, now slammed into me.

Those girls can kick ass!
