Nightmare Arc - Chapter Five
Time Traveler

Mizushina Yume

One part of regret saying those words to Sasaki, even though it was for his own safety. But I knew deep down that Sasaki won't back down easily. He will come back to me despite my warning. I can only hope he won't do that.

"Got him out of your way?" A voice entered my thoughts.

I looked up and Ji-hoon leaned his hip against the streets railing, seemingly waiting for me as he played with his keys.

I sighed heavily as I walked over to him. "Knowing the type he is, I feel like it's pointless to warn him."

"Are you just saying that or do you really want him to do that?"

Huh?

I looked up at Ji-hoon in disbelief. For some reason, my cheeks felt a bit warm. I held them and Ji-hoon laughed. God, why do I feel so embarrassed?

"W-what're you talking about?" I argued, trying to drag him out of the subject as soon as possible.

"Be honest, Yume," he said. "You do have feelings for him, do you?"

What? Why Sasaki out of all people?

"Look, I don't." I raised my voice. "I only care for his safety."

"Caring for one's safety means you have feelings for them, Yume." He shot back with that stupid smug of his. "Holy shit, you're actually dumber than you look."

His jokes made my anger spark. As my hand suddenly moved to slap his face, he suddenly grabbed my wrist to stop me. The look of a bastard was wiped off his face and it escalated to a serious look. I'm thankful for that since he's finally taking me seriously.

"Sorry." He said after a sigh and finally let go of my wrist. He chuckled afterwards and it still annoyed me. 

"How about you?" I shot him a question. "Do you have someone you care about?" 

He smiled but remained silent. He gazed at the ground underneath him and looked sad, somehow. Guilt suddenly washed over me. Something tells me that I should've never asked him that. 

"No." He said. "At least, not yet."

Silence befell us. We began to walk after that. He took the lead and I followed behind him. As we walked in silence, I suddenly remembered the first time I met him. 

-flashback-

From the future?
Wait, doesn't that mean he's a time traveler?

I've met a lot of weird, supernatural stuff but this is my first time seeing someone actually claim that they're actually a time traveler. Not to mention, from the future.

Izanami curved a smile. When she made that kind of look, it means that that person's response has met her expectations. She and Ji-hoon stared for awhile as I was left being a third wheel. Much worse, I'm probably just the wind at this point. 

"So, what are you here for?" Izanami asked.

"I was hoping you'd know." Ji-hoon responded.

"I know," Izanami said, "but does Yume know?"

Izanami turned her eyes towards me, followed by Ji-hoon's. I guess I'm not the wind anymore.
