Chapter 9: Party Looming
(A.K.A, Shadow Returns)
Sonic was running through the hills when he spotted a familiar black hedgehog nearby.
"Shadow, I haven't seen you in months, where ya been?" Sonic said as he ran over to him.
"I've been helping Blaze in her world." Shadow responded in his usual emotionless voice.
"How is she?"
"Well, she's here in our world over at Cream's house right now."
"Cool. I guess I could pop in and see her."
"Hold up, Faker. Rouge wanted me to give you this."
Shadow handed Sonic an envelope.
"What's this?"
"Rouge told me she's holding a party for a special reason, and when I asked her, she told me to ask Amy." Shadow explained.
"Amy's like a sister to you, isn't she?" Sonic asked.
"Yes, she is. I was going to head there after I found you." Shadow answered.
"Well, you found me, so go and see Amy. I bet she's been worrying about you."
"I will." Shadow nodded and skated to Amy's house, while Sonic opened the letter from Rouge.
Dear Sonic,
In celebration of you and Amy finally hooking up, I've decided to throw you a party at Club Rouge this Saturday. Be there by 8 PM!

Rouge the Bat
PS, tell Amy!
Sonic rolled his eyes at this.
"I don't know who's a bigger stickler for love, Rouge or Amy." Then he smiled. "But I'm sure it'll be one hell of a party."
Sonic took off toward Cream's house.
