Getting Ready

Chapter 5: Getting Ready
(A.K.A, Sonic wears clothes?)
Next Morning
Sonic woke up to see Amy staring at him. The two had slept in the same bed. That's all.
"Morning, Sonic."
"Morning, Amy." Sonic leaned over and pecked Amy's lips.
"Thanks. That's better than any coffee." Amy smiled.
"Same. So you still want to go on a date?" Sonic asked.
"Of course! So where do you want to go?" Amy asked.
"How about the Elegant Emerald in Emerald City?" Sonic suggested.
"Sure, that sounds great, even though I've never been there." Amy answered.
"Then you're going to love it." Sonic smiled again.
"I believe I will."
"But until then, I'm going out to look for something to wear, but no pants." Sonic stated.
"Sounds good to me. Maybe I'll call Rouge to help me look for something to wear." Amy responded.
"So I guess I'll see you tonight?" Sonic said.
Amy kissed his cheek.

"Yes, you will."

Sonic smiled and left.

Amy got her phone, called Rouge, and said; "Hey Rouge, it's Amy. Let's go shopping."
Angel Island
Sonic had decided to go to Knuckles for dating advice since he and Rouge had been dating for quite a while. He arrived at the Master Emerald Alter in no time to see Knuckles talking to Tails.
"Tails, Knuckles, what's up?" Sonic asked, sliding to a stop in front of his friends.
"Hey Sonic. We're just talking." Tails waved.
"Tails was flying by and decided to pay a visit." Knuckles said. "But what's up with you?"
"Well, I have some news. Me and Amy are now dating, our first date is tonight, and I need Knuckles' help to get me ready." Sonic explained.
Tails and Knuckles looked at Sonic with gaping jaws.
"What's wrong, guys?" Sonic asked.
"Did you just say you and Amy were dating?" Knuckles laughed.
"Yep."
"Took ya long enough." Tails said.
"So will you help me, Knuckles?" Sonic asked.
"Yeah, I'll help you." Knuckles agreed.
"I'm coming too just to make sure Knuckles doesn't screw you over." Tails pointed out.
"What makes you think I'll do that?" Knuckles grinned.
"Because Sonic is doing something with Amy, and you may make him look stupid so I'll make sure you won't." Tails explained.
"Thanks, pal." Sonic told Tails.
"Well, let's get going." Knuckles said as the trio departed for town.
Station Square Mall
Rouge was helping Amy pick out an outfit for the date.
"Oh, Amy, how about this dark purple halter top with this blue skirt?" Rouge suggested.
"Oh my gosh, let me try it on!" Amy smiled as she tried on the outfit. After putting it on, she walked back out to show Rouge.
"Oh my, you look downright sexy." Rouge said. "If I was a man, I'd be all over you!"
Amy blushed.
"I hope Sonic thinks the same about it."
"I'm sure he will." Rouge winked, causing Amy to blush more.
With Team Sonic
"Sonic, you look pretty darn good." Tails pointed out. "But why won't you wear pants?"
"I just won't. Plus, like you said, I look better like this." Sonic smiled at his reflection in the mirror. He was wearing a collared blue shirt.
"I think I'll wear my extreme gear glasses to spice things up a little." Sonic said.
"Sounds cool." Knuckles agreed. "I'm going to take Rouge out soon, hopefully."
Knuckles' phone rang.
"Hello? Oh, ok, well he's ready, so we'll be back soon." He hung up.
"Who was that, Knux?" Sonic asked.
"That was Rouge. She said Amy's ready and back at her house, so we should get moving." Knuckles answered.
"Yea, let's go." Sonic said, getting nervous.
