CHAPTER 20 — ♡ —
changbin checking each building, he was beginning to get tired. he was scared, what if he didn't make it in time? what would be the consequences for jeongin's family? or fate of the school's reputation? running up a flight of stairs, he decided to check the school's rooftop. it was the last place he hadn't check, so he prayed that the boy was there.
opening the door slowly, he looked around. checking one side of the rooftop, there he saw jeongin in the corner. crying his eyes out, talking to himself.
"you're okay jeongin..you're okay.." he heard the boy say. "maybe he's right? is he..should I talk to minnie..."
changbin interrupting him, jeongin puffed his cheeks up and looked away. "what do you want.." the younger asked rudely.
"I was sent to find you." changbin told, "jeongin right?"
he nodded, "what are you? my savior? I don't need any help."
changbin scoffed, "all you damn kids are like this."
"like what? depressed, stressed. having the urge of jumping off the roof top and never coming back. I'm what. tell me!"
changbin walking up to jeongin, he sat next to him. "you know, I was once like you. depressed, lonely. I wasn't in the right place."
"we're nothing alike." jeongin then rolled his sleeves up. showing his scars, then turned his head. there showcased a scar on his neck. "someone gave that to me at my old school. I hope he dies."
"wishing for someone's death isn't right."
"they abused me till I was almost dead. I wished for them dead, they physically tried to kill me."
"kid, what's with you and living in the past?" changbin questioned. "I understand how traumatizing it was. but, one day we should all let go of what happened."
"why should I? nobody deserves happiness. this world is cruel and disgusting. I hate it."
changbin shook his head. this kid was hard headed and stubborn. and he hated those types of people. "you—" he then flicked jeongin's forehead. "need to get your head straight. it isn't only you who has suffered."
jeongin rubbed his forehead. whispering a little, 'ow' while at it. "I know there are—"
"if you know then don't use your story for pity. you say nobody deserves happiness yet when people try and give it to you, your dumbass just pushes it away. I bet someone has tried to make you smile, give you a compliment or make you feel better. but you're just a dick who cares about themselves. the reason why nobody wants to be with you is because you show that you don't need anyone. when you want something, you'll just toy with a person. how does that make you feel? stupid, despicable. there are so many words dude, I could go on."
jeongin was lost with his words. he had no comeback. "I—I—-"
"you what now?"
jeongin tearing up, he felt his deranged self breaking. the boy was right, jeongin didn't receive any true love because all he did was abuse people. hurt them and guilt them. why did he listen to seungmin? why was he so easily manipulated?
now he felt weak and destroyed. he thought he was above everyone, but in reality. he was broken from the start.
"I—I'm sorry!" jeongin cried, "I'm such a fucking idiot!"
changbin embraced the boy, letting him cry on his shoulder. "it's alright, don't worry. let it out."
"I—I should've never done the things I've done!! I—I've hurt channie!"
channie? chan, is he talking about chan?
"I—I'm so stupid! I—I shouldn't have listened to him in the first p—place! the look in his eyes were scary..b—but I couldn't t—turn away!" jeongin admitted, but changbin didn't understand what he meant.
"who? who is him?"
jeongin sobbed a bit more before responding. "k—kim seungmin.."
that's when, changbin felt. his own heart drop.
kim seungmin?
