CHAPTER FOURTY NINE — ♡ —
changbin had never seen such a horrid sight.
it felt as if he stopped breathing, he couldn't speak, he wanted to know if chan was okay. if any help would come soon.
until he heard chan's voice.
"p—please come soon! I'm begging you, god there's s—so much blood! please hurry!"
deputies are on their way. they'll be there shortly please remain calm. can you tell me what's going on?
"o—one boy was stabbed to death..the boy who killed him just sliced his throat. there are two other guys with me but one fainted while the other is spacing out.."
do you know the names of the two boys?
"kim seungmin and hwang hyunjin.."
deputies are almost there please remain calm. they'll come and get you three please remain calm.
"he's dead." is all changbin says, "both of them are. we are too late."
as footsteps echoed through the hall. unfamiliar voices called out.
"we're over here!" chan shouts, the footsteps get louder.
changbin gets lost in his own world. he just watched the death of two kids, it was heartbreaking and sickening.
police coming to the scene. they took chan and carried woojin out, they trying to talk to changbin. yet he said nothing.
god what happened here! one covered his eyes as he looked at the two dead bodies.
"please walk out with the others, we need to clean up the scene and ask you a few questions."
changbin walks out of the building without any question. sitting on a bench, he was negotiated by an officer.
what were these two boys? what was their relationship?
"lovers. no, not even lovers.."
were they just friends?
"they weren't just friends. they weren't genuine lovers. you could say they were the missing pieces to their puzzle."
can you elaborate please? I'm not quite understanding this.
"kim seungmin wasn't the happiest kid. hwang hyunjin was missing love. they both were broken..yet they fit so perfectly together."
if they fit so perfectly together, why did it end so badly?
"perfect matches always go down in flames. hyunjin didn't want anyone to have seungmin so he killed him. he killed them so they can be together forever without any problems. without seungmin hurting. without anybody getting in their way."
so he wanted a perfect love story with this seungmin?
shook his head. "you're not getting it. I don't think anybody really will. I don't get it. hyunjin just wanted someone to fill up his empty heart. they manipulated each other. dragged their friendships down and hurt people. kim seungmin is a dangerous person. yet hwang hyunjin is worse."
hwang hyunjin is the one who stabbed the boy correct?
changbin nodded.
why?
"he did it out of love."
he knows that isn't love that.
"I'm betting my soul that he knew. but another part of him took over."
and that was?
"a derangedpart of hyunjin erupted somehow. his sanity was no longer a thing to him. seungmin played with him too much to where he lost at his own game."
did they truly love each other?
changbin chuckled, "I bet they did...but love can turn anyone insane. am I right?"
