Chapter 1 ~ Presentations

  All eyes were on them. Just as they requested, all countries were there, all seated around the World Conference table, ready to hear what they had to say.  Prussia started off the meeting, nervousness heavy in the room.

"Today, I have called you all here for a meeting of utmost importance. I know, this will all sound crazy, but we have first hand evidence that proves what I am about to say is true."

Gazes shifted around the room and murmurs reached everyone's ears.

"A long, long time ago, there was a great empire. The Roman empire to be exact, which is Italy's ancestor as well as his grandfather. Well, once his grandsons were born, he searched the world in order to protect his grandsons as well as the other young nations who began their journey's into their youth at that time. He finally found a temple near the present World Summit, where he met our typical evil alien. Yes, an alien. Her name is Ryuu, and we will get into her later. She used Rome in order to give all the countries hidden powers that she could control and use against them. Once she had Rome create them, she used Germania to make his empire fall, and Rome disappeared, leaving all the young countries with strange powers and the supernatural alien that is out to murder us all."

The room was dead silent, and you could probably hear a feather drop in that silence.

"Don't believe me? Try reading Rome and Germania's diaries." He tossed the two ancient diaries onto the table, and the audience went into a deeper silence. Prussia went back to his seat, and Germany took his place at the front.

"Now to explain the powers. These powers are in you, right now, hiding away in the back of your minds. They are triggered by love, just as Rome created the powers out of love. Once they are triggered, there can only be a midway point of control. The power goes on and off, and has a rebound. You forget something important. Something, for example, like memories or your actions. In order to gain full control of your power, you must go through the Gate of Truth, which can only be acessed by going into a half-dead state. Once you do, you must figure out the meaning of the gate, and pass through it. Most will not remember the journey, though some will. Once you pass through, you gain full control of your power without the rebounds. Hungary, would you mind giving an example?"

Hungary stood up silently at Germany's request.

"Russia, your pipe please?" Germany asked, and Russia tossed it to Germany without a word.

He handed the pipe to Hungary, who in turn, broke the pipe in half. All they saw was here green eyes flashing and then POP. The metal water pipe was in two pieces. She tossed the steel scraps back to Russia, and sat back down. Germany followed, and America took the stage.

"Ok, as you guys know, I'm the hero, so in order to do this right, listen closely. Japan, if you'd pass those papers out please. Alright- so as many of you already know, we're starting an expedition to head off towards some locations that could possibly hold some evidence and truth towards what we're saying here. And so, here are the expedition lists. The people we called are up to this challenge and have proven that they have already mastered their powers. All we need to get this show on the road is all of the nations consent. As for the locations- Italy, can you please turn on the projector? -This is where we're heading. So if you dudes and dudets think this is a good idea, I ask you to stand now!"

At first, no one stood. Until Hong Kong stood up.

"I'm in. If what you say is true, this alien is a threat, internationally. We have to do something!" He exclamied, slamming his hands on the table, urging his fellow nations to stand up as well.

With a rough sigh, Cuba stood up as well. "I don't want to agree with America, but I have to at this point. Eh, it might not be to bad to kick some alien ass once in a while." The Carribean country joked, trying to make the mood a little lighter.

And with that, Thailand and Taiwan burst out of their seats. "We agree too!" They called out from the far end of the long polished table.

With their help, the whole room was all standing, from Australia to Cameroon. The expedition teams were to stay seated of course, but they all cheered happily as the room brust into loud chatter as well as debating.

"AlRIGHT THEN!" Germany hollered in his booming voice, calling the room to order. "It's decided. The Expedition Teams will begin their journey after the conference is called to an end!"

Prussia and America high fived in the back ground, Belgium and Hungary hugged, and Italy jumped onto Japan. It was official.

The Expedition Team was going to stop Ryuu!
