Russia and China went to attack first, trying to hastily buy time for the others. Italy, Hungary, and England took a step back, England acting as a barrier for the others.

"England! Let me fight dammit!" She screamed, as Italy and Britain held her back as threw a fit, forced to watch China and Russia get beat up right in front of her very eyes. "No! Japan said you aren't allowed to fight!" England argued, pulling her back with all his might. "Please, Miss Hungary! WE promised Prussia we wouldn't let you get hurt!" Italy begged and pleaded, his efforts futile.

China and Russia were getting beaten up good- blood, sweat, and bruises mixing together. Germany ran in, leaving Japan behind with the others. "England-San!" Japan called out, using the piano to stand up. "What is it?!"

"Protect Italy and Hungary." Japan declared. He unsheathed his katanna, and ran into battle.

"NO!" Hungary cried out.

The oni was stronger this time, as if it was using all it's anger against them. England thought he could almost see a smile on it's face.... Wait, was he seeing a smile on the monster's face? "What the hell...? Is that.... Is that what I think it is?!" England exclaimed, his eyes wide as saucers. His green eyes flashed, and he grinned. "It is! I'm not insane! It's just as the books said!"

"Huh? What is it England?" Italy asked, looking at him like he was going insane. "It's a spirit. There's a spirit in that monster!" England exclaimed with a smirk. "W-What?!" Italy gasped.

Japan went in to slice the Oni's head, only to be whacked by it's hand and sent soaring into the wall. He yelled in agony, and it made Hungary want to scream. China went in to back up Russia, who was just about to use his special technique, only to be kicked in the stomach and sent flying into the bookcase, which snapped in half from his weight. "RUSSIA!" China screamed, as Russia coughed up blood onto the floorboards. The Oni took this chance to attack China, swooping it's balled up fists into his back as the Asian country's face slammed into the floor. A loud CRACK was heard, and it took all of Germany's strength not to run away. The Oni looked him dead straight in the eyes, and yet again, Germany froze up. He couldn't move, he couldn't even blink. Japan got up, and took the liberty to save his friend. He pounced the grey monster, pushing his sword into the monster's shoulder till the bright red fluids seeped out of the cut, and he jumped off it's shoulders, landing roughly by Germany. Quickly, the monster kicked Japan while he was down, and Japan skidded with a yell, his back slamming into the floorboards as he slid across them. His back burned and he felt like he was going to vomit. Cuts and deep flesh wounds covered his arms from the Oni's sharp claws. Germany was finally able to move, and rushed in, whip in hand, ready to lash the monster into a world of misery. The Oni swiped at it with it's sharp claws, piercing the skin on his arm, as well as sending him into the wall.

Japan stood up shakily, with the help of the piano. His legs were about to give out, hois heart was pounding like bongo drums, and his lungs were gasping for any air it could get a hold of. Blood dripped off his side and fell onto the floor, and he thought he could see spots in his vision. Unable to stand, he fell back into the piano bench.

"I-Italy! Can't you heal them?!" Hungary begged, but Italy could only stare and cry. "I-I...." He sobbed, his amber eyes watching as the monster got closer to the piano.

Japan was gasping for breath, his heart beating so loud it filled the room with it's noise. "Is this the end? Is this where I will die? Is there nothing I can do?" He thought desperately, his mind racing for a way to escape, to shrink into the background.

Then, as if by a miracle, something piereced the side of the Oni's neck. Bright red seeped down it's body as it screeched in horror. "W-What?!" Japan yelled in confusion.

Violet eyes flashed, and Canada's body appeared, standing right in front of Japan. Though the distraction lasted enough to save Japan for a few seconds, it wasn't enough to save Canada. The Oni's fists slammed into Canada's stomach, and he screamed in agony, as he caught air for a few seconnds. As he did so, the monster brought up it's foot and roundhouse kicked him, sending him into the wall, face first.

Japan's eyes widened in terror.

Germany was slumped against the wall, shaking uncontrollably.

China was lying on the floor, blood everywhere and knocked out.

Russia was groaning in pain, stuck between the debris of the heavy bookcase.

Canada was knocked out, blood dripping from his forhead.

The others were behind him, Hungary sobbing into her hands, Italy's amber eyes unable to look away from the disgusting image being seared into them, and Britain was sitting in front of them, pushing them back into the corner with his eyes closed, jaw clenched.

This was the end of the line. There was no way he could make it out.

"The piano! Play the piano!" The sweet voice called out, and his eyes widened.

His fingers, having a mind of it's own, flew across the keyboard.

China, groggily, stood up on his knees, and looked over to Japan. "W-Where...? Where did you hear... that song?" China, shakily stood up, and walked over to Japan.

The Oni just stood there. Watching.

China sat on the bench with Japan, and together, their hands went to work, the piano playing a wonderous melody as a bright light engulfed the room.

The Oni screamed and screeched in pain, and the light grew brighter.

China and Japan continued to play the piano, without giving a care to the what was going on.

"Atlast, our sons have called us Fu." The voice called out, and the music halted.

"Yes, I couldn't have wished for more Akemi! Shall we kill this witch for them aru?" Another femine voice called out.

"Hai!" The first woman yelled in reply.

The engulfing light faded out, and two women stood in the midst of it all. Then, the light became brighter than the sun engulfing them all...

"Ugh..." China groaned, his head lying on the piano keyboard. "W-What...?" Japan looked around, and all he saw was blood and debris. Russia was lying in the middle of the broken bookcase, Germany was slumped in a ball against the wall, and Canada was lying on the floor in a pool of his own blood.

"D-Did you see that?!" Japan exclaimed to China. "W-What?!" China stuttered, unable to comprehend everything that just happened. "That light... And the monster... T-The voices..." China's eyes widened. "Wait a mome- HOW DO YOU EVEN KNOW THAT SONG ARU!" Japan scooted down the bench a little, afraid to face his angry brother. "I-I.... I don't know." Japan admitted. "HOw do you know the song China?" He shot back at him.

China hesitated.... "Well.... M-My mother taught it to me...."
