"You found an exit?" Russia smiled bigger than he usually did.

Everyone was rejoicing, hugging and smiling as if it was a family reunion.

"Yes! Come one, let's get out of here!" England beamed. "First, we should break up into groups, just in case something were to happen." Japan suggested, but he was rejected.

"Why? We're almost out of here, so there's no reason to aru." China argued. "I don't think anything could go wrong from here." Canada agreed with a shy smile.

Japan's face fell. He had an awful feeling about this. "Let's hurry." Italy rushed, holding onto Germany. "Well, now that we have an exit secured, I want to explore a bit! We all know there's stuff going' on around here that goes deeper than what we suspect." America tried to convince Japan, as if he was the leader. "Well, it would be nice to get some more info about the texts I found..." England approved. "Can we just get out of here?! Some of us have places to be!" Hungary retorted, anxious to get out.

France stayed quiet. Something wasn't right. Prussia could feel it too. "Somethings not right mon ami." France whispered to Prussia. "Definitely. Japan seems off." He replied back. "On it patron Prusse!" France smirked. Purple eyes flashed, and his head was filled with emotions and doubts.

He gave the albino a slight nod as a signal, and the two nonchalantly walked over to the Asian country.

"Germany, you go ahead with the others. When America is like this, nothing can stop him." Canada sighed. "Well, we should make sure the exit is safe, so I guess we'll have to go ahead in any case." Germany concluded. "Alright. We'll go check." China smiled, excited, and grabbed Russia's arm. "We're splitting up for a while! There was some medicine I wanted to see! Come get us when you're done aru!" He called out as he the others followed him down the hall.

Japan clenched his jaw. His brown eyes flashed. Suspense. And death.

"Japan! Stay back; I'd like to have a word with you." Prussia broke him from his thinking. Hungary raised an eyebrow. "Go ahead with Germany and the others. We'll catch up to you." Hungary nodded and ran off. Prussia sighed- if Japan was having a bad feeling, that meant everyone was in danger. Including Hungary.

"...Very well." Japan turned to face the Albino and France, who had serious looks, both contradicting with their rather fun personalities. "Can they tell that I'm worried like Italy can?"

Prussia stepped forward a few feet, keeping his distance. His red sunset eyes met with Japan's brown ones, and neither broke contact. "So, what's been eating you?" Prussia spoke first.

"What do you mean?" Japan asked. France chuckled. "It'd be best if you do not avoid the question, mon ami."

"I haven't been through it yet. But you have, haven't you? Just like England, you see things we can't. The exception is, only when a clock is broken. C'mon, spit it out." Prussia kept pushing Japan out of his comfort zone, and he knew it.

Japan looked down at his hands. If he didn't get help, there would be blood on his hands, no one elses. ".... I'm sorry. I was not trying to show it."

"How modeste." France commented. "You can tell me the details later. Just tell me the important things now, no matter how unawesome they are. Don't hold back Japan." Prussia said, and Japan took a deep breath.

"....I-I'm not sure what it means.... But from now on, if I make a choice, I'll lose someone, and if I follow a different path, I'll lose someone else...." He admitted, his face falling with every word that left his mouth.

Prussia clenched his fists. France put a hand on his friends shoulder's, seeing the flashing white anger rising. "Prussia..."

"I tried several options but they were no use... The more I tried, the stronger the monster became. I can't do this alone anymore-"

"Of course you can't do it alone dammit!" Prussia blurt out, and Japan shut his eyes, in fear of his friend. "Mon cher ami, s'il vous plaît...." France pleaded quietly.

"Then how did you defeat it before? Huh?" Prussia spat.

Japan's eyes widened. "W-Well..... When it was necessary to fight.... I defeated it with Italy and Germany.... and Miss Hungary and you, Prussia-Kun...... I also fought alongside Russia and China-"

"Exactly. Why did you stop there though?" Prussia continued, keeping the conversation going.

France's frown turned into a smirk. He knew what Prussia was doing. Prussia is pretending to throw him off the cliff, like he's angry with him. Japan thinks he's going to throw him off the edge, but Prussia's just toying with him- he's putting on a show, all because he wants to teach him a lesson.

"I-I'm sorry?"

"You tried everything, right? But did you talk to anyone before you tried them? Do you think you can come up with a solution and fight all on your own, even when this fight involves everyone?"

Japan's brown eyes widened in understanding.

"Well? What are you going to do now?" Prussia kept pushing and pushing, and it really did look like Japan was going to make that drop.

Japan clenched his fists. "P-Prussia...."

"Keesesese! You should have just said something before! But I'm glad you told me! Now no one will have to die! C'mon Francis, let's go!" Prussia grinned mischievously, breaking into a slow run.

"W-Wait a min- Prussia!" Japan called out to the albino. "If we go to that place, G-Germany will- Ah, I mean, you would be risking you life too! Even Italy-Sa-"

"State your opinion precisely and concisely." Prussia halted at the entrance.

"W-What?"

"You think too much. That's why you're forgetting something simple!" He shouted as he ran off leaving the two men in his dust.

"Something.....simple." Japan murmured under his breath. France put a hand on the Asian countries shoulder, and winked at him. "Don't fret over it. La simplicité est la plus grande beauté, il ne faut plus penser-pas!"

Japan blinked. "Pardon?" France laughed heatedly. "Something I learned from my little sister, Monaco." France left Japan and walked away with his head held high. Japan smiled a little.

I should have said something before. He thought.
