Before leaving, they did a thorough search of the room, as well as the floors. They all decided on leaving the mochi in the wall, for it had already caused too much trouble already. And so, as they did their digging around, Italy found a wooden box in the closet, Japan figured out how to get a second floor key using the 'Earth' lever, and Prussia used Japan's note to find a first aid kit on the second floor. While treating Japan's wounds, Hungary went to work on stitching up his suit with whatever they had. Once they were finished, they finally found the perfect room to stay in. Japan decided to do a quick search for anything important, and came back with a piece of paper and a matchbox.
Finally all together in one safe room, Japan locked the door, and everyone spread out. Italy sat by the large fireplace, Prussia and Hungary sat at the table, Germany and Japan finding seats at the rather large table as well. "We can't be too careless now, but I think we're safe here for now. We've got the key, and the door is firmly locked." Prussia informed everyone. "It's only temporary, but it should do for one night I suppose..." Japan agreed. "One night is good enough for me! All this running around is making me tired~" Italy chimed in with a yawn. "I could get some rest too..." Hungary yawned, and Prussia pulled her in closer. "You're right. We ran a lot today, so we definitely deserve some rest." Germany chuckled softly. "Makes me feel like having some beer..." Prussia laughed. "You said it brother!" Italy listened in on the conversation, shaking as he tried to warm himself up. "I'm a little cold too... Do you think it's the house?" Italy added in, shaking as he rubbed his arms. "I believe we have some matches from the box found under the table. There is enough firewood too, so we can warm up." Japan approved, and Germany got up to start the fire.
"Ooh! Nice and toasty, huh?" Prussia scooted a little closer to fireplace, and Hungary dug herself deeper into Prussia's chest. "Definitely..." Hungary agreed, closing her eyes as she listened to Prussia's heartbeat. "I feel much better now that there is light. And I'm not alone either." Japan thanked the universe, glad to have his friends in this empty and archaic house. "You're totally right. When Lizzy tripped on the stairs, I almost screamed, and when Italy and West went in two totally different directions, it just made it even worse." Hungary sighed. "Do you have to remind me I'm a klutz?" Prussia smirked. "If I didn't, then who would?" She rolled her eyes and punched his arm as payback. Italy laughed, and Germany just sighed, smiling to himself. "I hate supernatural things, so I'm glad there are people surrounding me that can help me through it. And as long as everyone is okay, I'm more than certain we can make it out."
"Yes, exactly." Japan agreed with Germany. "Rather than think about how we acted in the past, we should discuss what we should do, so we won't be separated or lost again." Germany sighed. "I believe that's all we can do for now. Looks like that thing really has made us prisoners here..." Prussia shook his head. "I've got a feeling that there's more to that monster than what we actually see. It's not as simple as trapping us in here. This goes down way deeper than we all know, I'm certain of it." He theorized. "Do you think it has something to do with Ryuu?" Japan pondered. "I bet you it does." Germany added. Italy was surprisingly quite through out the conversation.
"So the first thing we need to do is get out of here. If none of the entrances open, then why don't we make our own exit?" Prussia suggested, thinking hard on the subject. "But Prussia-Kun, don't you remember when the monster slammed into the wall? It barely made a dent!" Japan recalled. "But what about the floorboards? They're always breaking." Germany implied, but Japan disapproved. "Back when Miss Hungary and I were in the library, the monster made a huge hole in the floor. When I went back, I noticed there was stainless steel under the wooden floorboards. There is no possible way to break through that." He countered. "Then there must be another entry way. A main entrance and a back entrance. What house doesn't have at least two entrances and exits?" Prussia pointed out, and they both agreed. "Then shall we look for some entrances tomorrow?" Japan suggested. "It's decided. Now, let's go to bed. What time is it anyways? Italy? DIdn't you have a watch?"
Italy, who was oddly quiet the entire time finally spoke up. "Oh, yes, but my watch broke when I wasn't looking!" Prussia put a finger to his lips. "Not so loud! Lizzy's already fallen asleep! She was taking care of the baby all last night." He exclaimed in a quiet tone. "Oh, sorry. Vee~ She's so cute when she's asleep." Prussia smiled. "I know right? But don't ever let me hear that again." His face darkened over, and Italy yelped, shrinking into the corner. "Oh, stop being so overprotective." Germany scolded, rolling his eyes. Japan chuckled, and Prussia smirked in victory. "Anyways, isn't it dangerous if we all go to sleep at the same time? We need to chose someone to keep watch. Any suggestions?" Germany inquired, and Japan raised his hand. "You make a point, and I definitely agree. We could play janken to decide. And since Miss Hungary is already asleep, she doesn't have to play." He suggested. Italy raised an eyebrow, puzzled by the weird name. "Jan-ken? What are the rules?" Italy asked.
"It's a very simple game. You play by showing three hand-signs-"
"Let's just do it already! I wanna sleep too! Lizzy wasn't the only one taking care of Gilveta ya know!" Prussia complained. "Prussia, just be patient." Germany chided, and Prussia sighed.
Japan continued. "-and rock beats scissors. You can throw rock, scissors, or paper." He explained, and Italy beamed.
"Ah, so it's kinda like 'La Morra'. Okay, I got it Japan!" Japan smiled. "The let's go. Jan.... Ken.."
Of course, as if the irony wasn't bad enough, Prussia lost. Hungary slept in Prussia's arms, and the others slept in the beds. "......"
"I hope... I hope Monaco's taking good care of Gilveta... I hope she's not crying. I hope she's well. I hope she misses us..." Prussia looked down at Hungary's serene face, and he smiled. Pushing a chestnut hair out of the way, he kissed her forehead.
"I'm so sorry Lizzy, if I can't protect you here. I know, I'm so overprotective, and I know, I'm expecting too much from myself... But I don't want to lose you. You are the most important thing in my life right now, you and Gilveta, and I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I lost you here... I'm such a terrible husband... I'm so sorry Lizzy..."
Silent tears streamed down from his beautiful sunset red eyes that were bright even in the dark.
"But I'm going to try my best, Elizaveta. I love you so much, and I won't let the darkness take out your light."
Bam bam.
His deep thoughts were broken as a loud knocking sound was heard, and a chill rand down Prussia's spine as he realized it was probably the monster.
"Dammit!" The sound of fists on wood got louder.
Bam bam bam!
"I'm sorry Lizzy. But I'm going to keep you safe tonight, I promise you that!"
He stalked over to the door.
BAM BAM BAM!
The door opened, and so Prussia disappeared into the night.
