"AHHHHHH! oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god!" I screamed and jumped up on the couch.

"Harriet!"

"Oh my god."

"Harriet, you little shit!"

There was a multitude of different responses to my sudden and loud outburst. A few of the girls had shocked expressions while a few of them jumped out of their skin and look rather angry. And, well, Aggie pulled my feet making me fall over on the couch while she started hitting me and yelling at me that I shouldn't scare her like that. She was laughing while doing it though, so I knew she wasn't that mad.

"Okay, okay. Stop! I'm sorry!" I laughed as Aggie's attack had turned into a tickle attack.

We got back from Miami a month ago and it's been good. Like really good. New years was super fun, Demi took us to an afterparty/new year party that pretty much everyone from the concert had been invited to. I spent most of the night with Brinley and Madison trying on more than one occasion to get drinks. It failed for the most part but we managed to score a few, mostly from Lauren who we spent most of the night with.

I also met Camila later that night without freaking out which was pretty cool. I mean I'm pretty sure I met a whole lot more people at the party but there were so many names thrown at me that it all just sort of blurred into one. I didn't get so overwhelmed like I was expecting though.

The first week of the year was pretty chill, I spent most of my time with Aggie and the other girls from the home, knowing in the back of my mind that there was a possibility of Demi fostering me, meaning leaving the home and the girls behind.

The next three weeks were also pretty chill, except for the fact that we were back at school. Brinley and I had a couple of assignments to work on together but that's the most we've seen of each other outside of school since we got back from Miami. And neither of us have hung out with Madison since either. She's been working on a new film and she's also been busy with school.

We were going to hang out this weekend, but I'm pretty sure plans just changed somewhat.

"What are you screaming at anyway?" Aggie asked as she sat back and stopped tickling me.

Oh yeah. "Uhh... Hang on I gotta go check something." I bounced up and ran off down the stairs in the direction of the kitchen. "Elise!" I ran into the kitchen but couldn't see her so I quickly turned on my feet and headed for the downstairs media room. "Elise!" I called again.

I saw her making her way out of the office looking rather frantic at my frantic shouting. "Is this real!" I yelled as I shoved my phone up to her face with screenshots of some tweets that Annabel sent to me. I watched as Elise took my phone from me to read it better. "Elise, is it true?" I pushed impatiently.

"Ahh... I... Yeah." Elise sighed with a smile on her face. "Demi and I had everything finalised this morning. She wanted to surprise you tomorrow night after school." She explained further.

"OH, MY GOD!" I screamed with the biggest cheesiest grin on my face. Until I realised what it truly meant. "Oh my god," I mumbled, a pit of fear swarming in my stomach, a stark contrast to my previous reaction.

"Harriet, sweetheart, don't panic. This is good news and you want this. Demi is officially your foster parent as of Friday." Elise guided my (still shocked) self over to the couch and sat me down.

"But like fostering leads to adoption, that's what Demi said her intention was. I s-s-screw up every adoption I had the chance at." I mumbled.

"Oh, hun, no. This is different and you know it. Demi has seen you at your worst, she's seen you through something none of us thought you would survive. She's even hinted at a few breakdowns that she's helped you through. She isn't going to run because 'things get hard' and you know it. This will be your last a Foster family and your last adoption," Elise tried her best to reassure me.
