I was woken up by giggling. I sighed and rubbed my eyes, opening them to find Madison and Brinley at the end of Demi's bed with their phones up. My guess is they took a photo as I was still wrapped in Demi's arms. I stayed really still so they thought they were safe, and when they turned to each other to look at the photos they took, I lunged at them, pulling both of them down onto the bed on top of Demi.

Demi groaned but the three of us just laughed. I grabbed Madison in a massive hug but used it to pull her over further. Laughing with them, and being silly, it made me feel better. I wasn't thinking, I was just having fun with friends.

"Okay, okay stop jumping on the bed," Demi grumbled making us all laugh again. "Go get dressed and we'll go out and get some breakfast. I have a surprise for you all." Demi said trying to get us to leave.

"Uh Demi, you forget that this was an unplanned visit for all three of us, we don't have any clothes to change into," Madison speaks up.

"Yeah I mean unless you want to walk around with us wearing only leotards?" I add. Demi shoots me a fake smile obviously not impressed with my sarcasm.

"Okay, fine. Go eat something and get ready as much as you can and we'll stop off and get some clothes as we go. Should like a plan?" Demi asked raising an eyebrow to see if any of us could poke holes in this plan.

"Okay." We all chirped before heading to the kitchen.

"What do you think the surprise is gonna be?" Brinley questioned as we all stared into the fridge trying to decide on something to eat. Brinley and I decide on yoghurt, I put in strawberries, she put in blueberries. Madison settled on a plate of fruit.

"I have no clue," Madison spoke up as she closed the fridge door.

When we finished breakfast, Madison showed Brinley to one of the bathrooms and me to another so we could shower and get ready. Although getting out of the shower, I realise that I have nothing to change into and I don't know where my dance bag is. After I dry my hair a little and let it hang down my back to finish drying, I leave the bathroom in search of Demi.

I finally found her when I managed to find my way back to her bedroom.

"Demi?" I questioned softly, gently pushing the door open just enough to see a small part of her room.

"Yeah, sweetie? You can come in," Demi opened her door for me to come in. "What's up?"

"Do you have my dance bag? I have nothing to change into." I tell her my motive for coming to find her. She tells me she has it and quickly goes to grab it out of her car where she left it. While she was gone I stood in her room awkwardly, not really sure whether to follow her or not. Just as I was about to leave her room for the front door, her phone sounded with her message tone. I turned to look towards her phone, decide against looking at it, and turn back for the door. Just as I reach her door though, she gets another message.

I guess someone really wants to talk to her. I go over and grab her phone with the intention of meeting her at the door and swapping her phone for my dance bag.

Just after I leave her room her phone sounds again.

Curiosity got the best of me.

I turned her phone over in my hand and read the messages.

Dave - 8:47 am - It's a very long process, especially with your past and also your current career.

Dave - 8:48 am - It might almost be better off for the kid to wait out the 2 years she has left in the system and have you provide as much support as you can as a friend.
