"Wait," I stopped walking in the hallway, just outside Demi's room. "Why did you get a call from your... Lawyers at 6 am? Isn't that l-like 3 am in LA?" My face contorted in confusion and Demi's infectious laugh filled the hallway.

"He's in London, it was like 10:30 am for him," she explained when she calmed down.

"Right," I let out a soft laugh. Demi walked a little further until she was right outside her door. I moved to walk past her but she stopped me by grabbing my hand.

"Find something that keeps you busy. Dance, take photos, play an instrument or write. Find something that works for you, but don't be too disheartened if nothing works all of the time. You will have good and bad days hun." I nodded, hugging Demi one last time.

"Oh, Demi, how much can I tell the girls about you starting the adoption process?" I questioned softly.

Demi's smile grew, she looked so incredibly happy. "You can tell them as much or as little as you like. Madison knows that I was in the process of getting it all legalised."

"Thank you, Dem." When I got to the door of my room, I pulled out the room key and let myself in. Madison and Brinley were both sitting up on the small couch that was in our room with (by the smell of it) mugs of hot coffee each.

"Where did you go? We were kinda worried. We were going to call someone soon." Brinley lowered the cup to her lap, running a hand through her messy hair to push it off her face.

"I just woke up really early so I went for a walk. I found Demi actually so we talked a bit." I walked over and sat down on the end of the bed facing the couch. "You could have called me before you started worrying you know," I stated with a hint go amusement in my voice.

"We did call you!" Brinley's voice had a hint of amusement, telling me they aren't actually too mad.

"And text you. A lot," Madison added. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and realised that I did, in fact, have multiple missed calls and texts from the two girls.

"Oops, sorry," I replied with a sheepish smile on my face. "I guess I just got distracted. Demi and I were talking about some stuff. A-alot of stuff actually." I smiled down at my lap, both of the other girls looking at me expectantly.

"Well... Are you going to elaborate or what?" Brinley asked with a hint of a laugh in her voice.

"Oh right," I laughed, "Well to start it was just about photography. Demi was trying to c-calm me down because she... scared me. My s-s-speech went to crap blah blah you know the drill," The two girls laughed and nodded, having dealt with my awful speech more than others. "She just asked why I was up, and then about why I was so a-anxious and irritated. Just so you guys know, we both think I might be... manic at the moment, s-so if I get really annoying for the rest of this trip, I-i'm sorry."

"Dude, we know what you're like in your 'manic' states. We both met you in what we assume was one of them remember. We still love you all the same," Madison interjected, a small laugh in her voice.

"True." I smiled back. "She ahh, she also told me about the fostering, setting up for the adoption process," I added somewhat hesitantly, unsure how Madison actually feels about the whole thing. I mean if it happens, I'll be apart of her family. She'll essentially be my Aunty. Which really is a funny concept, considering I am older than her but eh.

"Oh, she told you? She's been fighting so hard for it to work. You know she's even going to see if my Mom would apply for it all if Demi can't get all the legal stuff to go through soon," Madison started rambling before I could elaborate.
