Monday morning. I mean it's never great but when you're starting a new school, it's always just that little bit more unsettling. Aggie had told me that there was a system that the four girls had gotten into, so if I wanted a shower I had to be out before 6:30 when Tahlia gets up.

Getting out of the shower I wrap my hair up in a towel and wrap myself in another towel realising now that I forgot to grab my clothes first. Lucky Tahlia was already up and ready to get into the shower so I just went into the closet to get dressed. I grabbed out a simple black tee and tied a knot in the front of it, pulled on some ripped high waisted blue jeans and chucked on my favourite all black converse. I grabbed my favourite black, green and purple windbreaker and shoved it into my bag in case I get cold. Taking the towel off my head and letting my long hair fall down, I realise I'm not going to have time to dry it. Looks like I'm gonna have braids again. I sit down on my bed and braid my hair into two long french braids.

When I'm finished Aggie was going into the shower. "Aggie, I'm coming in to do my make up" I yell at her just before she closes the door that leads from my room to the bathroom. The bathroom is designed so that if I am standing at the sink and counter the shower can't be seen, there is a small wall as a divider as well as the fogged glass of the shower.

"Okay. Damn you look good." Aggie compliments as I walk into the bathroom closing the door behind me.

"Ta babe" I giggle. I decide on very simple makeup for today, mainly cause I can't be bothered. I start with moisturiser, then a light powder foundation and a tiny bit of brown eyeshadow in the creases of my eye, just for a little bit of definition. I then apply a tiny bit of pencil eyeliner and mascara, finishing the look with a light contour and highlight on my cheeks. Satisfied with how it looks I turn around and lean against the sink. "Hey, Aggie?"

"Yeah, bub?" She questions. I can't remember when she started calling me 'bub' but for some reason, it stuck.

"Are you still on the track team?" I question, I'm going to need some sort of sport to keep me from going insane. Not sure running will be my thing though.

"Yeah, I made varsity this year which was pretty exciting. Why? You thinking of joining?" she questions turning the water off.

"I don't know, I need something for when I'm not able to dance anymore. I just don't know if I'd actually be any good at running. Is there a dance team at your school?" I question thinking of it at the last second.

"Hand me my towel?" I hand the towel to the outstretched arm from behind the wall. "Look, track isn't just something anyone can join, but if you really want to, then I can do some stuff with you. Just to make sure your basic fitness is decent." Aggie explained as she walked around into my view wearing a sports bra and her high waisted jeans, her hair wrapped in her towel. "And there used to be a dance team, it fell through this year though. Anyone who wanted to do dance or other performing arts-based things pretty much moved schools to like Brighton Hall and other schools like that." She explained pulling a simple plain white tee over her head and tucking it into the front of her jeans. I nodded slowly taking in all that Aggie had said. I got distracted though, I hate the first day of a new school so much. I always feel so much like a show pony or something, like everyone has to get a look, everyone has to find out if I'll fit in their clique. My thoughts were broken when I felt Aggie shaking my shoulder.

"Sorry, what did you say?" I asked looking at her confused.

"Nothing of importance. Are you nervous?" Aggie Questions. I Just nod. I'm about to ask her if she'll walk with me when she offers to walk to the principal's office and to help me find my homeroom and locker. I smile weakly at her as she pulls me into a hug. "You'll be fine. You can always call me, I'll actually be able to help this time around." I really have missed Aggie so much. She came to the group home not long after me the first time, she was the closest to my age so I kinda attached to her. We became pretty inseparable right from the start, she's the closest thing I have to a sister. We helped each other through some pretty dark patches. "Come on let's go get some breakfast," Aggie says pulling me away from my thoughts making me realise she'd finished getting ready. We went separate ways to grab our bags and met at the stairs heading down from breakfast.
