When we reached a van, someone blind folded me and then I sat in silence. I could tell I had 2 guards sitting beside me. The drive to our destination was long. I guessed about an hour or so. Then I was told to get out and I followed the footsteps of the guards until we entered a building and I was told to stop. The guards were whispering among themselves before I was led into a room and someone took off the blindfold.

The walls of the room were gray with lamps lighting up the darkness. There was a desk to the right with a man who got up from a seat and walked over to me. The man looked kind but when I looked closely at his eyes I realized he looked at me as if I were an object. To him, I was just someone who would fight his battles for him.

"Hello, I am Weston."

I said nothing and glared at him.

"I wasn't going to hurt you, I just want you on my side."

Still, I said nothing.

"Are you serious, you're going to ignore me?"

"You could have sent me a letter, you didn't have to capture me." I said.

"True, but letters take too long."

"Why do you want me anyway?" I asked.

"Because I heard your really smart and you have powers so you could help us."

"Help you with what?"

"Well, we uh, need your help getting a bit of money."

"You want me to help you steal money from people?"

"Yes."

A fake smile lit up my face. If my parents were to learn that I was steeling from people they would not be very happy with me. But they didn't even know where I was let alone what I did to pass the time. Still, steeling was not good.

"No thank you." I replied.

I turned to leave the room but two guards stepped in front of me. Did they really think they could stop me from leaving?

"Why won't you help me?" Weston asked.

"It isn't good to steel." I replied.

"Fine, just tell me about yourself, then I'll let you leave."

"No you won't, but okay, it's not like I need to be somewhere at the moment." I said.

"What do you want to know?" I added.

Weston thought for a moment, then replied.

"How about your family, tell me about them."

Why did people want to know about my family? Seriously it was annoying, I didn't like talking about my family.

"I don't really know much about them, I haven't seen them in years."

"Okay, tell me when you started realizing you had powers."

"Just this morning actually."

"What, so you have no idea how to control your abilities?"

"Yup. See? I'm of absolute no use to you. Now if you could excuse me, I'd like to get home to have some lunch."

I started walking towards what I assumed was the exit when the guards blocked me. I sighed in annoyance, I really was hungry and I wanted to get home, but this man wouldn't let me leave. I thought for a moment, if I could try and use my newly discovered abilities perhaps I could get them to fall asleep, then I could finally leave.

"Well, since you don't seem to want to work with me, I'll let my guards lock you up for a bit then maybe you'll change your mind. Oh, and don't try any magic on us, it won't work, this building doesn't allow you to use any magic. I looked at him in annoyance, there was no way I was going to work with him.
