The following days were terrible. I was woken up around 4 every morning and was brought to a room where I was taught how to fight. I had already known how to fight but they didn't think I was good enough. At 9 o'clock they would finally give me some food. Normally just a glass of water and a granola bar. At 2 o'clock I would get a class of water and an apple and at 7 o'clock I would get water and a grilled cheese sandwich. The teacher wasn't very nice either. He would always be eating something and it smelled amazing. One day he was eating a bowl of cereal, and half an hour later he was eating poutine. He would keep yelling at me, telling me I was a complete failure.
I would only be allowed to go to my room and sleep around 12 every night. Which means I was only getting around 4 hours of sleep every night. I was always tired and hungry and there were so many emotions I was feeling all at the same time. I was angry, tired, sad, annoyed and I blamed myself entirely for being in this situation. One morning I was walking to the room where I trained when a guard came and told me to follow him. I followed him to a meeting room, different then the one from before. Renée was sitting at the head of the table but there were only two people beside her.
A man sat to Renée's right. He had red hair and blue eyes. There was a small stack of papers in front of him. To Renée's left there was a girl with blonde hair in two braids and glasses. I sat at the end of the table.
"Let's begin" Renée said.
"These pages contain the details of the building. The room Josiah needs to get to is on the fourth level. There are stairs to go up but most people use the elevators." The man began.
"He will use the stairs then, less people." Renée said.
"What is this about?" I asked.
"You will start your first task. Steeling from Caleb Stelsor. He has a lot of money that he doesn't seem to be spending wisely, and we need more money." Renée said.
"No, I'm not going to steel from people." I said.
"Okay, I'll get someone to bring your sister here, she'll arrive in a few days."
"Wait! Fine, I'll do it."
"Ok. Now, Cara what's the details on where Caleb keeps his money?"
"He keeps most of his cash in the middle drawer of his desk. But it's locked. That's why Josiah is the one doing the task." The blonde haired woman replied.
"And Caleb's schedule?"
"He leaves his office everyday at 4:30 and doesn't come back until the next day."
"Perfect."
The rest of the day was spent memorizing the building, training and practising using my powers which wasn't actually that hard once I got used to it. They gave me a little more food then normal which was great. At 4 o'clock a guard came and I followed him outside to a vehicle. Once inside the vehicle the guard attached a microphone to the collar of my shirt and gave me some sunglasses. They wanted to know everything I was doing and saying when not in the building that I had been staying at for the past few days. I looked in the little mirror and saw my red eyes though the darkness of the sunglasses. I quickly looked away. I sat down and we started driving.
After about half an hour we reached our destination. It was a big building. There were 20 floors in all. I left the vehicle and entered the building, heading towards the stairs. I opened the door and walked up to the first floor, then the second and third then, finally the fourth. I opened the door and walked down the hall looking for the correct room. When I found it I entered and looked around. The room was empty just like it should be. I walked over to the dresser and used my powers to open the drawer. Inside was a small bag, I looked inside and made sure the money was in it before heading back out the door, down the steps and out of the building.
Hello there! It's almost the end of the week, thank the gods! I hope you all had a great day, here you go, another chapter!
