I awoke. My hands and ankles were chained to a wall of a room. There was a harsh light above me. I was the only one in the room but I could hear people on the other side of a door. No, this isn't happening. I needed to get out of here, I needed to get somewhere, before I changed my mind. I had been delaying it for months but I knew I would have to go and see them eventually. I was too curious. How were they doing? Did they move houses, or were they still in the same place?

I tried focusing on my situation. I needed to get out, but that wasn't possible at the moment. I had a feeling this person knew about my powers. I didn't think I would be able to get out of this situation very easily. I tried anyway. Sure enough, nothing happened. Just then, the door opened and a woman walked in. She had brown hair and tied up in a bun and she looked to be in her 40s.

"Hello Josiah." She said.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"My name is Renée and I work with Weston. It has come to my understanding that Weston was too kind when trying to get you to join us."

I raised my eyebrows in confusion. Too kind? Really?

"If you don't join us Josiah we could always bring your sister here." The woman said holding up a photo of a girl around the age of 17.

"That won't be necessary." I quickly added before she could continue.

"Great choice."

Renée took out her phone and called someone, then whispered some words and ended the call. She turned back to me.

"Now, you are going to obey every single order I give you or else your sister will be harmed. You will protect me and the others when needed."

I nodded.

I heard the door open and two guards walked in. They walked over to me and unchained me. I rubbed my wrists and stared at Renée in annoyance.

"You will be shown to your room now." Renée said.

I followed the two guards for about 5 minutes until we arrived at a door. Then the door was unlocked and I entered the room. I heard the door lock behind me. The room was very small, there was a bed in one corner and a little dresser beside it. The walls were gray and there was a closet across from the bed. I sat down on the bed and put my head in my hands. It was my fault I was in this situation, I should of been paying more attention. There was no way I would let my sister get hurt so I would have to work with these people, I had no choice. There was a knock on the door and I looked up as someone entered. It was one of the guards from before. He handed me a piece of paper. I took it and looked it over.

I was supposed to sign it. The page would show that I belonged to them. The guard handed me a pen and I hesitated only for a second before signing my name. I gave the pen and the page back to the guard. Then, the guard left. I went to sleep early that night.

Hello! Hope everyone is having a great day.
