AN: I just wanted to take a break from all of the Philip X Reader. Don't worry though. It's coming soon! Also sorry for not posting in a while. And random thought, why is it that in all of the Thomas Jefferson One shots, the reader hates him at first?

--------------------

(Y/N) POV

I hated work. It was an absolute nightmare. Well perhaps not the work itself, but it was who I worked with. Thomas Jefferson. That man was an absolute bag of bullsh*t. He's so, ugh, I can't even explain the words I'd use to describe him. Okay. I'll give it a go. Cocky, annoying as h*ll, an a**hole, stupid, a scumbag, the biggest d*ckhead I've ever meet and overall, just a son of a b*tch.

I groaned loudly and smacked my head on the desk, as I hear the sounds of his treacherous voice echoing through out the hallways.

"Speak of the devil," I mutter under my breath. I see my desk-mate, Angelica, attempt to stifle a laugh.

"Remind me why you hate him so much?" she asks as I shoot daggers at her. I hear footsteps coming from the door and I look up to see the king b*tch himself.

"Why don't you ask him? He's right there," I grumble as he walks over closer to us. Why does my life have to include this annoying little-

"So Thomas, I was just speaking to (Y/N) and I've been wondering. Why does she hate you so much?" I see Angelica smile at him. I glower at her and stare at Thomas, who has an amused look on his face.

"I'm not sure, why do you hate me (Y/N)" he asks in an innocent voice. I avert my sight to the papers on my desk and ignore the question.

"Oh come (Y/N), I've been wondering why since you first started to work here. Plus you can't tell anyone you're working. The papers you're looking at are blank," Angelica states referring to the paper I was looking at.

I look back up, shoot up out of my chair and pointed at Thomas, who has a subtle smirk etched on his face. I point at him and glare. "This stone cold b*tch knows exactly what the h*ll he did so don't believe that stupid look of innocence he has on his face for one second!"

Angelica stares at me incredulously as I glare deeply into Thomas's soul. I notice his gaze shift towards Angelica in a look of panic but I continue to pierce holes into his eyes.

"I-um...Angelica?" he asks in a feeble and wary voice. Angelica looks at both me and him before crossing her arms.

"I seriously only want to know why (Y/N) hates you so much so would you please just tell me!" She exclaims throwing her hands in the air, exasperated.

I sigh before opening my mouth in an attempt to speak. "Well you see Angelica, the fir-"

"It was a dark and stormy night," Thomas interrupts me in a mysterious voice.

"Are you kidding me! It wasn't even past noon! Stop trying to make your life sound so god damning interesting!" I snap as he rolls his eyes.

"Fineee," he grumbles stretching out the E. I sigh before slumping back into my chair.

"It was a bright and early Tuesday. As a matter of fact, it was (Y/N)'s first day of work. And I had no clue who the h*ll she was,"

"Objection! You should've known who I was since you were supposed to show me around!" I shout as though we were in court. Angelica rolls her eyes before motioning for Thomas to continue.

"As I was saying, I didn't know who she was and I had not planned on running into her on that fateful day,"

Flashback!

I scrambled into the building holding multiple folders and running around in attempt to find the man who matched the description that my boss had texted me.

"Tall, wears magenta a lot and has big, brown fluffy hair. That sounds pretty unique," I tell myself as I continue to walk around the office. I looked back down at my phone until I felt something blocking my way making me fall onto my butt.

"Hey! Watch it!" A Virginian accent called out at me. I brushed the (H/C) hair out of my eyes and stared at the man with an annoyed look.

"Seriously! If anything you were the one not looking! And it's not like you fell over!" I yell not realizing that he fit the exact same description of the man I was looking for.

"Well excuse me! I'm not the one staring down at their phone!" The man shot back at me. I glare before regaining my temper and cooling down.

"Ok fine. I'm sorry. If you don't mind could you please direct me to a man that my boss said was going to show me around. He's tall, wears mainly magenta and has large, poofy hair," I explain still clueless of the person standing in front of me.

The man stared at me for a second before smiling smugly. "Of course! He's in the room down the hall, third door to your left," he says as I breath in relief and thank him.

I make my way down to the room which seemed to have a sign, but it looked eligible. I stare quizzically before turning the knob and trying to find the light switch. I didn't necessarily find the light switch but I did find a switch which I flipped on. And boy was that a mistake. Water started to spew out of the ceiling and soaked my hair and clothes. I ran out of the room attempting to get away from the water but instead continuing to feel the cold liquid raining down on me. I looked up to see that the sprinklers were all on! I ran out of the closet exit and stared embarrassingly at my feet.

What did I do this time?

End of Flashback!

"You know I could've been fired if it weren't for the fact that I had an extremely good resume," I testified as he rolled his eyes.

"Well maybe if you knew how to read the incident wouldn't have happened,"

"Yes, because that wasn't a part of your plan now was it"

"Even if it was, maybe if you weren't so boring you would've found that joke hilarious,"

"Of course, because everyone finds getting fired to be extremely funny!"

"Well maybe if you hadn't run into me in the first place it wouldn't have happened!"

"Yeah? Well maybe if you learned how to remember stuff you would've known that I was the one you were supposed to show around!"

"Well maybe if you just asked your boss for a name it wouldn't have happened!"

"Oh my god! I can't believe you! I hate you!"

"I hate you too!"

"Well I hated you the moment I saw-"

"Would you both shut up!" Angelica shouted making the room silent. We both stared at each other waiting for Angelica to say something.

"Well that was a real interesting meeting story. And I very much understand why you hate him so much," she explains lingering on the last word.

"But?" Thomas asks. I nod my had staring at her.

"No buts. Hey (Y/N), do you wanna grab some (F/F)?" she asks as I nod with wide eyes.

"Yes! I'm starving!" I say walking towards her, linking arms and leaving the building.

"Hey! I want (F/F) to!" Thomas yells but were both already much to far away to hear him.
