I didn't want to put doubt in Hanji... so I walked her home, as usual... thankfully, Andrew had to catch a ride home. Silently as I walked Hanji home... should I warn her about him? No... I can't... if I do, I'll reveal the truth to Hanji... and she'll run away once she knows what I am.
"Levi..." Looking up to her angelic voice... I see her... her worried eyes seemed to, bother me. "What's wrong?" She asks as her hazel eyes observed me.
"N-Nothing..."
She chuckles softly, "Aw... I love it when you stutter..."
I wanted to see her beautiful hazel eyes, but I couldn't... I felt my breath being taken away as I try to speak. Echoing within my ears, I hear my heart beating... how it pounds and it's frustrating to get that tune out of my head. My nose longed to smell her rose-scented hair...
"You look cute when you stutter like that... Levi..." I loved hearing that giggle...
"W-Why?"
Her warm fingers touched my cheek, chuckling softly as she did so. "Your pale cheeks light up red and pink when you stutter... like now..."
"H-Hanji..."
"What? You hate being poked like that?"
I felt myself smile at her, "No... I-I kinda like it..."
After a few more moments of silence, Hanji decided to break it. "So... aren't ya gonna ask me?"
"A-Ask what?"
"Out on a date... what else would I want from you?" I know exactly what I want from you... Hanji... I want you as my girlfriend and my lover... please...
"Y-You want me... t-to ask you out? I-Is that it...?"
She giggled again... how sweet it was to hear such a sweet noise to my ears. "Come on... ask me... that's what you want to do, isn't it? Is it because of Andrew?"
"H-Hanji... I-I do want to... but... I-I can't..."
"Eh?" She stops me from walking any further and I had to state into her hypnotic hazel eyes... "Why? Why won't you?"
Sighing... I had to... if I wanted to keep her happy... but was it worth it? To tell a secret I kept hidden? No... she'll run...
"Trust me... I mean it... I want to... but-"
"It's Andrew... isn't it? If you don't want him close... then fine. I'll keep him away. I-If you want... I'll cut my contact with him..." She didn't dare to cry... but I saw it in her eyes. She wanted to release her tears... but she couldn't. "Levi... why can't you tell me what's wrong with you? Huh? Do you think that you're just an awkward kid? An awkward kid who seems genuinely nice... the one person I look forward to seeing everyday?" Her voice starts to crack as she spoke.
Then... this new feeling gave me a pang of guilt... would've made me cry tears. "Hanji..."
She sniffles, "You can't even ask a small... simple question? I guess not..."
"What?"
Staring back into her eyes, "I guess you're not the kind of guy I thought I knew..." Hanji takes a deep breath and releases it. "I thought... you cared about me... cared when no one else did. And you wouldn't ask me out on a simple date..."
No... it's too late... I'll lose her... maybe it would be forever... I just hope... I won't say the words wrong...
"Hanji... will you go out with me?"
