Tape 18: Ackerman Family History

"Call me a curious cat... but I wanted to look into Levi Ackerman's family history... and boy, what I found was incredible. Digging into his history... funny how his whole family originated in Germany. He's the third generation in his family to live in the United States of America. As it seems... his great grandfather had quite a history...

Louis Ackerman... 19th in his generation to live in Germany before taking his son and wife to the U.S. According to his translated record, he left because he 'didn't want to endanger his son and wife after the murders when he was a teen.' Well, it didn't make sense to me... so of course, I kept digging.

And that's when I found out... the Ackerman Family was from Japan. Went far and wide because of that. Then, I kept digging and digging. And every time when they had a son(s), there was a murder of a young man, mostly in his teen years. Sometimes, it was one... sometimes it was 3 or more young teens... but overall... those Ackerman young men had girlfriends right after a murder.

Relating it back to Levi Ackerman's file... Moblit's death and when Andrew was framed... Erwin stated that they did start to date... perhaps... this was all connected somehow.

But the thing is... some Ackerman families had daughters... and their last names were changed due to marriage.

One thing I found out that was pretty interested is that one of the lost and forgotten branches of the Ackerman family, the Puden family, was part of that list. But they were generations apart. Why would Levi kill family like that? They had similar DNA, but only in the slightest...

Well, I interviewed Levi Ackerman, and he knows nothing about his family history. All he seems to know is that his father basically abandoned him and his mother died from a disease when he was young. Levi also inherited his name from his mother... but also his uncle. Kenny Ackerman."

"So... why do you need to record this conversation?" His voice seemed gruff as I clicked on the button.

"Evidence."

*Sighs* "Fine... this does involve my nephew-"

"A nephew who killed 3 people and kidnapped a young woman, perhaps raping-"

"Levi would never do that... he was doing his job. Protecting his lover at any cost. If you were ever deep in love like that... you would've done the same."

"Tch, I would never kill someone like that. Especially if I could hurt my lover and my reputation..." I say, handing papers that wrinkled. "Anyways, I'm here to ask about the history of your family, Mr. Ackerman-"

"Kenny... just call me that..."

"Kenny, tell me about the history of the Ackerman family..."

He rolls his eyes, "Why? How does this help me find my grandchildren? My nephew deserves to have his children by his side-"

"He kidnapped a girl, made her have 2 children, killed 3 people- he doesn't deserve happiness!"

Kenny just looked at me, "Hell... it's not like he can control it... you don't understand our sickness... understand me? It is not Levi's fault that he's like that..."

"Meaning what? What sickness is that?"

He looks down with me with emotionless eyes. "If I tell you... if you find Hanji and my grandchildren, I get to see them then release them as well as Levi. They have their record clean and they can leave away."

"I can't do that, Kenny-"

"That or you don't get any answers, understand?"

I couldn't help it... I want a way to protect future killings... so I had to yes. "Alright then. Fine. If we find Hanji and her children, I promise to let you see them before we release them with a clean record."

"Good..." He leans forward, sighing a bit. "I can't believe I'm telling this to you... but we're Yanderes... this cannot be told to anyone else. It gets carried in Ackerman girls... but when an Ackerman blood has a son, they will posses the gene. They... latch onto someone they love, and would do anything to protect them from future dangers."

"To protect their lovers... you mean by killing?"

"It doesn't have to be lethal like that, Phil. They can be removed by suicide, friendly remarks and such... sometimes, violence won't be used against a rival like that... every yandere has their own method... I didn't want to kill or love, so I avoided all that. Levi's method... I guess it was very lethal."

"How many are there? Can we stop these yanderes?"

Kenny just looked at me as if I was crazy. "Phil, if you want to stop them... you got to track down every single one of those people who carries that gene... and there's no way to stop it. If you want to stop all of those future deaths, you gotta kill every single one of those people... mass killing. Innocent women and other little girls has no say because she just carries the genes... the guys are the only ones affected."

*Sighs*

"With that in mind... there is no way... to completely stop... all these murders. And, I'm leaving this record to stop future officers and detectives from going after a goose chase. If you find a teenager dead because of another teenager... and how he has a girlfriend afterwards... leave them be. Otherwise, you'll fall into a trap.

Take it from me, I did my best to find Levi and Hanji... and we did. It's just... we landed into a trap. The whole thing was fully consented... Marshall and Raven, I'm guessing... I ruined their chances of a family they could've lived. Because after those men found their lovers, there was no more killing. But if this was all true...

Marshall has a chance of killing. And Raven, if they did have a daughter... she would be carrying those genes... Hanji will show up, and perhaps, I can do some good and let them be at rest. Besides, it will be a mass killing if we captured them all. And besides... it would be millions of people dead.

This is Detective Phil Michel, and that I'm recording this tape of my investigation in the Yandere Murders of Levi Ackerman. Please, take my advice, and don't do anything stupid."

"Ah... so that's why Daddy's not here with us..." Marshall says as he fingers the tape. "Raven... maybe that's why Mommy's so sad... do you think... we can find Daddy?"

The four year old little girl walks towards him with a baby doll in her arms. "I wanna know what Daddy's like... so Mommy can stop crying..."

"Yeah..." Marshall looks into the kitchen, pulling a knife out of the knife holder. "You stay home and take care of Mommy... I wanna save Daddy..."
