After walking into the gym area, I felt Hanji's hand tighten on mine, so, I pulled her away from the center. Moving to the side, where hardly anyone was there... I stroked her cheek before speaking. "Is everything okay?" I had to shout over the beating music. Her face was was covered in the colored lights, so I couldn't see what her beautiful face looked like... but Hanji's face was burned into my head... I could never forget it.
She lowers her head onto my shoulder, "I'm scared..." She whispers to me. "I... I hate these big crowds..."
"Okay..." I whispered back, pulling her away from the wall. I take her hand and once the slow song played, the words were inaudible... and I only hear the music playing softly through the speakers. "Let's dance..."
Hanji chuckles as she follows my lead as we danced. I didn't know how to actually dance, but Hanji didn't care if I knew how to dance or not. We just swayed to the beat, ignoring the fact neither one of us knew how to properly do it.
After the song, people rushed down to the center to ready for the upbeat song... but instead, we left the gym and into the hall. "Should we... go to the courtyard? Or the cafeteria?" I started to ask as we held hands.
"Hm... outside, Levi..." She says, pulling me towards the door.
And before we knew it, we were outside. The cold wind blew against us as the trees laid almost bare. The sky was pure black, with a few sprinkles of stars and small puffs of clouds. Soon, the moon was almost covered up by those fluffy things.
Hanji takes a deep breath, enjoying the peace and quiet. "Levi... it's so nice... being here with you... you do know-"
"I know exactly what you're talking about..." I say, kissing her check. "You hate crowds and that out here is cold..."
She leans close, laying her head on my shoulder. "Hmm..." She says as she scoots closer. "Seems that you're the only warmth around here..." Her arms wrapped around me, so I pulled her close. Soon, her body was against my chest as I held her there.
"H-Hanji..." I had to do it... no matter what, I just had to. If I don't, I'll be forever labeled as a coward... and if I wanted other guys to leave her alone... she had to be it... I don't think showing dominance over her like this would be appropriate... but I had to.
"Yes?" She says, looking up. It might've been the cold... but her nose and cheeks were bright red. "What's wrong, Levi?"
Pulling her close, I had to have her... nothing was left on my mind. Hanji was my life, my world... and I cannot allow anyone to have her. "I... I want to stay with you, forever... okay? Please..."
"Okay..." She says with a smile, "I want to be with you forever as well... I doubt I would ever meet someone like you..."
"Hanji..." I say, pulling her close before I kissed her. Not on the cheek... no... it felt... better. I wanted more. Her lips... they did taste like strawberries... so sweet and flavorful... "I... I want you to do me a favor... if we're gonna be together..."
She smiles, pulling me closer to kiss me. "I promise, I won't flirt with any other guy..." Hanji says with a giggle, her eyes sparkling with... this sort of joy. Oh... how much I wanted to get lost in them... to explore her unexpected mind.
"Not just that... I... I want you to be my girlfriend... please." I pleaded her, almost wanting to get onto my knees and beg her to be my lover... my one and only true lover that will always be true and loyal to my heart...
That beautiful smile that I first saw when I laid eyes on her came back, warming my heart again. She was gonna be my flame... "Of course, Levi... and... I love you." Hanji kisses me, holding onto my hands. "And trust me... why would I choose anyone over you?"
"Because... I'm... afraid... of losing you..." I say, brushing my hand across her cheek...
She smiles before looking up. "Levi... look..." She says, pointing up.
The sky was gray, covered by the clouds and that I saw what she was pointing to. A small snowflake was falling gracefully down between us. Seeing it... it was so... beautiful... the different shape of the snowflake was only caught for a second before it fell onto my nose, melting immediately.
Hanji laughs, "Aww... you're cute..." She says, kissing onto my lips before pulling me up. "Let's go inside... I don't want us to both get a cold, right?" She says with a giggle in her throat. Damn it... why was she so beautiful? And now... I'm hiding the biggest secret... I have to tell her soon too...
