"So... I heard there was a murder at school, Levi." I hear uncle's voice come through as I walked inside. I ignored him, hanging my keys up. The TV was on... I can hear the sounds of people laughing and talking... actors are fake. They fake emotions... part of me wants to know how they were able to make it... but I know that they are normal people. "Oi... Levi."

My bag was placed on the table as I walked over to the fridge to get some soda. Opening it, I saw some beer cans that wasn't there this morning. Taking a soda can, I popped it open and took a few sips. "What are you doing here, Uncle?" I finally ask after opening my textbook for science.

Footsteps echoed as they approached closer to me. "Ah, he finally talks." He takes a chair and sits on it, attempting to get direct eye contact with me. "Come, I promised your mom that I'll take good care of you... yet, there's a murder at-"

"What are you trying to tell me?! To apologize for it?!" My temper was unleashed as I couldn't bear it anymore. The stress of the police and the fear of losing Hanji burdened myself. Why couldn't I be a normal human being?

Uncle chuckles softly, "No... I don't." I looked at him, in confusion. Why was he supporting me? I'm not human... "I know why you did it. Tell me, what did she look like?"

"Who?"

He chuckles, opening the fridge for a beer. "The girl. You didn't commit murder yesterday for no reason, Levi. And, if it wasn't a girl, you would've killed a guy instead. So, what was she like? What attracted you to her?"

Sighing, I drank more soda. If he already knew what I did... why should I tell him the truth? But then... if he knew that I did it... why would he be asking for more details instead of reporting me? Was it because I was family? No... "She... has chocolate hair, and hazel colored eyes... she wears this glasses that doesn't belong there... I want to her her giggling again, and I want to hold her hands... forever..."

"Does it soothe the darkness in your heart?" Uncle's eyes stared at me, trying to read me or something.

I nodded my head. "I just... want to be with her... Uncle, why am I like this?"

He groans as he takes another sip. "Why you're emotionless and basically feel like a monster? You can blame my dad- your grandpa in your case. He was just like you... not able to feel any kind of emotions... and when he fell for your grandmother... well,  the genetics passed on in his son. Me."

"You're... just like me?"

Uncle nods, "Yeah. I tried so hard to not pass it on, but your mother was a carrier. And when she had you... you got the genes as one of us."

"As what?"

He chuckles, "As I call it, a curse. But as the family says it, it's called being a yandere." He stands up, patting my back. "Well, if I were you, I would check up on your girl. She must be worried... and don't you dare reveal to her what you are, understand? Otherwise, you won't be able to see her for a very long time..."

Knocking on Hanji's door, I already told her that I was coming over in advance. And here I was, waiting for her. I just wanted to hear her sweet words... to hear them was pure melody to my ears. I wanted to smell the roses in her messy hair, and to feel her warmth... I wanted to bury my head and for her to wrap her graceful arms around me. Soothing me with her words...

The door opens, and I see an older man with brown hair and similar hazel eyes to Hanji. Must've been her father or something. "What do you want?" He says gruffly, like it was meant to scare people... didn't scare me...

"I wanted to see Hanji." My voice felt cold, and yet it didn't do anything.

"Tch, why?"

"I can't see a friend of mine? Or are you a dictator that loves to control lives like that?"

He sighs, looking back and shouting at the top of his lungs, "Hanji! Get down here!"

When she walked down the stairs, it was graceful and majestic. Her beautiful eyes gazed over as she tug someone behind her. "Levi..."

"Who is he?" I asked as we stepped away from the house. This boy... had light brown hair and blue eyes.

Hanji giggles, "Well, this was my childhood friend, Andrew Puden. Andrew, this is Levi. He's been helping me out at school."

Andrew leans forward, "Nice of you to take care of her; after all, she has been known to be a bit clumsy as a kid. Getting bruises all over her body...

Don't tell me that they were that close... why didn't I meet Hanji years and years ago? My life would've been completed if I met her a few years ago... "S-She was?"

He nods, "Yep. Called her, Clumsy Hanji for the longest time."

Hanji pushes him playfully, "Stop embarrassing me, Andrew. Come on, stop it, okay?" She says it so sweetly, that I just wanted to wrap my arms around his neck, hoping he wouldn't utter another word. "Anyways, before you freak out, Levi, we're just friends, okay? Andrew is not a bully, he just likes to tease everyone."

"Heh, yep." The way he looks at her... how dare he... I'm the one who loves her more than you do... at least I don't tease or hurt her feelings... "Levi, can I ask you something."

Hanji shakes her head, "Andrew, don't scare him awa-"

"I'm not. Just want to know him a bit more." He says as he pulls me away.

From where we were, I could see Hanji looking up in the sky, probably thinking how it meant to fly- "What do you want, Andrew?" I asked, trying to shift my attention away from Hanji's beauty.

He stares me down, "What's your actual relationship with her, hm? Her lover? Her bodyguard? Or are you just a friend?"

"Tch, why are you asking me that?"

"Because..." His eyes darted away from me and back to Hanji. "I... fell in love with her... again. As a kid, I thought that she was some weird girl... and now, looking at her... heh, call her an ugly duckling as a kid, and now... she's really... really beautiful, don't you think so, Levi?"

My fists clutched together... I'm not gonna let you take her away from me, Andrew, whatever your damn last name is. She belongs to me... and not to some bully who teases her. Asking me about my relationship with her was a bad idea- I'll make you pay...

"So... Levi..." Hanji says to me after Andrew left her house, and she was waiting on me to leave. "How is he?"

"Andrew?"

"Yeah."

Honestly, I wanted to tell him to go to hell, because there's only one perfect person for Hanji... and that was me. "I say he's a bit of a jerk."

Her laughter was so beautiful to hear... I wanted to hear more and more of it. "I know he's a bit of a jerk to some people... but he's an okay friend." Still, that doesn't reassure me... I had to do something about him... like that guy from earlier... I had to get rid of him. "Don't worry about him. He's just checking up on me..."

"For what reason?"

"Pfft, I don't know. Not like I can read his mind... though, it was weird of him to pop out all of a sudden... oh well, maybe I can spend some free-time with him... you know, to catch up after the years we lost since we had to move..."

Standing up, I couldn't bear it anymore. I wouldn't cry in front of her... "I-I got to go... my uncle needs me back at home."

Walking away from her, I hear her cries, but I ignored them. Though, it broke my heart to hear her cry, "Levi! Come back!" Over and over again. But I had to leave... if she kept talking about Andrew, there was a chance... that I might lose her...

Back to back... with Hanji's beauty, a list will grow, and I will have to eliminate every single one who pops up on that list... then again, I need to be careful. I don't want the police to be breathing down my neck... if I get caught, that means the end of my future life with Hanji Zoe.
