Hanji's POV

Erwin was comforting me as I cried on my bed for the last 2 months. Seeing him kill... Andrew... that couldn't have been Levi... not the Levi Ackerman that I fell for. He seemed, so different... acting happy, afraid, confident at times. His kisses were so sweet and full of love... but I was too afraid. Was I gonna see a boy who used me to feel? Or was I gonna see the young man who I loved?

Day after day, I kept getting phone calls from Levi... saying that he wanted to talk... even pleading me. But I never answered. By last week, he never attempted to call. Stopped all possible communications... and I thought, it would be the last time I would ever speak to him.

But the one thing that bothered me in my head was my loyalty. I did love him, truly, I did. How sweet he was, always flirting with me... but now, it seemed, fake. Was he truly using me? And if so... why?

"Hanji..." Dad's voice comes through as I pretended to do homework. If I wasn't productive in anything... well, let's say his beatings wasn't merciful. Looking up to him, I kept thinking... I didn't do anything out of order... "Some guys are waiting for you downstairs..." He says before sipping his beer.

Nodding, I walked downstairs, thinking about who was down there as well. Opening the door, I see Erwin, and an elder man with him. He wore a hat... like an old cowboy hat. His eyes seemed like pale gray, and his hair was streaked gray, but I saw Levi in him. Was he... his dad?

Walking outside, I sighed. "If it's about-"

Erwin takes my hand,  "Please... I'm worried about him. And, he won't let me in, I see him, and to be honest, Hanji... he's broken. And, he's been, hurting himself, because the one person he loves is gone-"

"Tch, he doesn't love me... I bet he feels nothing." Turning back, the elder man held me back. "Hey! Let go of me!" I raised my voice just a bit... because if I should, that was punishment. Ever since... Levi was convicted, Dad's punishment was became cruel and impossible to burden. And Levi... was someone I could be happy around, to be myself.

The man spoke, "Oi oi... I see why he likes you..."

"It's fake feelings..." Tugging my arm away, I turned back inside, reaching for the doorknob.

"Tch, go ahead and leave. But if you stay... I'll explain his condition... the family's curse, as we called it. Hanji Zoe... take my advice, don't, I don't care. But please, I care about my nephew. I promised to keep him safe, and he's not safe now. Just, one conversation with him is all I ask."

"So Hanji... where do you want me to explain it?" Kenny asks as he starts to drive.

"Everything..." I sat on the passenger seat, wanting to hear the story completely... and according to Erwin, he already knows the story. "I want to know... why Levi acts the way he does... and how to cure him."

He sighs before answering. "As I told him, I'm just like him... a yandere. Where he gets attached to a person, and having the urge to be with them. Now, only guys in our family gets affected. The women are just carriers. And... there is no cure. You can either stop it, like how I can do it, control it, or pass it on. It's an urge that no one can resist, Hanji..."

"What do you mean... attached?"

"The reason he killed was because of you... he saw that guy... Moblit as a threat... and it's not his fault. It's like OCD... he has to do something about it. And Andrew... well, he was a yandere as well. A good one at that. Being a yandere has a fear. A fear that your lover will be taken away, and to Levi... he couldn't let you leave. Sometimes, people say that the ones who they get attached to become normal or something... and that can only be answered by Levi. Hell, I don't know what he thinks in his mind anymore..."
