Chapter 22

I was back in bed by four am, and I slept until ten thirty, I got up had a cup of coffee watched a little bit of the news, but after fifteen minutes I could not watch it anymore, so I turned it off. I got dressed and went to the store to pick up a few grocery shopping essentials. Then after I put everything away I made myself something to eat, it was pushing quarter past noon by now, so I did a little bit of studying, managed to get quite a bit of it done, so I was happy about that. I straightened up the apartment a little bit, ran the vacuum, dusted and polished the furniture, moved some paperwork into mom's room, wiped down the kitchen counters, etc. then forty-five minutes later I was in the shower and getting ready to go to the shop. I left the apartment at twenty of three and got to the shop with five minutes to spare.

"Laura I'm so sorry to hear about your mom." Maggie had said when I walked in the door. "Oh thanks, I've talked to her today, and she's doing ok," I said. "Good, glad to hear it." Kimberly had said. "Where's my aunt?" I asked. "She's out back." "I'm going to go talk to her, and I'll be out to work in a minute," I said. "Ok take your time." Sophie had said.

"Hey, honey." My Aunt Shelia had said as we hugged. "How are you doing today?" she asked me. "I'm doing ok, I've talked to mom, and she's hanging in there." "Good, I'm going to go see her now then I'm picking up the kids at five." "How has it been here today?" "It's been busy, but the past hour it's been kind of slow you should have an easy night, most likely." "Ok great, you go head out I got things covered here," I said. "Ok great thanks, have good night honey, I'll check in with you tonight." Aunt Shelia had said. So she left, and I went to punch in and to start my day at work.
