Chapter 11
Tears were streaming down my face by the time I pulled into my driveway fifteen minutes later. It was only ten thirty at night, and all I wanted to do was put this horrible night behind me. I walked in through the door of my apartment to find that my mother was still up she was watching the news in the living room when she saw me and my red and puffy eyes from crying which is when my mom realized that something was wrong, "Honey what's wrong? Come here come talk to me." My mother had said while she was turning off the television. So I told her about the party and the alcohol and the smoking, etc. "I can't hang around kids that do this shit there not my friends; I thought they were, but they're not." I wailed. "I'm just happy that you are home safe and that you used your good judgment once again. Why don't you take a deep breath and get ready for bed all of this will be in the past by the morning, you have to work in the morning anyway, I promise you, honey, everything is going to be ok. We have been through a lot between dad, and moving and starting at a new school, but we will get through it because we have each other. Together we can get through anything, always remember that and I love you, and I trust you, and I'm happy with your good decision making in life I'm proud of you and everything that you do, you make me happy to have you as my daughter." "Awe, thanks mom that means a lot to me, I love you too, thanks for the talk I will see you in the morning," I said giving her a hug and a kiss goodnight.
