Colorful flowers, sparkling lights, delicious food. Even the gardens were wonderful. A myriad of colored lanterns lit up the night and there was a pleasant summer breeze. From the stage came the melodies played by the musicians. All the guests laughed and enjoyed themselves.
The sovereigns of the Valley of the Sun were enchanted by all this. Elena had welcomed them and talked with them for a long time. Now they were conversing with Francisco and Luisa.
"Elena! Do you like my dress?" asked Isabel coming to her sister. "Of course! I love it!" Elena replied smiling. Then she greeted Naomi and Mateo. "Wow, how are you elegant!" she exclaimed hugging them. "We got dressed for the occasion" Naomi said. "You are really elegant too" "Thank you. But... where is Gabe?" "We don't know... he hasn't arrived yet" "Oh, strange. He should already be here. I'm going to look for him. See you guys later!" "See you later!".
How come Gabe had not yet arrived? Elena went to look for him in the gardens a bit worried, but she didn't find him.
She returned to the entrance and... There he is! He was at attention, rigid, with a watchful eye. He still wore his uniform.
"Here you are, Gabe! I was looking for you. What are you still doing here? The party has already begun!" "I'm doing my job, don't you see? I can't leave my guard post. Gabe immediately changed expression and smiled at her. "I'm sorry, Elena. I don't know why I replied you that way". Now Elena recognized him. "Don't worry, it may happen that you are not in the right mood. You're just a little tense so... Let's go to the party!" "But I have to protect you!" "Now you have to have fun with us, with me" she said softly. So they entered the castle together.
