After that fiasco we arrived at Mira's house where she patched up my bruises and the scratch marks that were around my neck. She then explained to me how she was calling me because she wanted to apologize for her behavior and that I was right about how she was using me as an emotional crutch. And while I was annoyed, I forgave her because I didn't want to let this thing drag out any longer than it already had been. So, having let bygones be bygones, we moved on and we discussed about what to do next.

"Well,"Mira said. "The vampire community certainly isn't going to be happy about this.Especially Luke's parents."

 "I can imagine."

"Yeah and I'm sure there's going to be some protesting among those within the community." I blinked.

"Vampires actually protest?"

Mira chuckled. "Of course. I mean sure, we may not protest out in the streets like you humans do, but even within the vampire community we still have problems."

"Like what?" I asked, curious as to what they could be. Mira folded her arms and leaned back in her chair.

"Well for example; there are those among us who think that our hunger, isn't a curse, but a gift. And that we should embrace our gift."

 "Really?" Mira nodded.

"Yup. There are even those that think we should fight against the humans and take over their world. After all, many believe that we're the superior race."

I let out a laugh. "Really? They actually think that?"

"Of course, and to be honest I kind of agree with them."

 "Really?You agree with them?"

"Well yeah, humans don't have the strength, agility, endurance and stamina that we do and the only way for them to even keep up with us, is for them to actually drink our blood so that they can receive the same enhancements! I mean hell, they can't even use magic!" I stared at Mira, shocked at what she had just said.

"I guess," I said, with uncertainty.

"Anyways, I think we need to start proving to vampires that humans and vampires can get along. And I think I know just the place to do that."

"Oh yeah?" I said, raising an eyebrow. "And where's that?"

"A place called Blackmark, its an underground zone where the magical community gather."

"Huh,so, when do you want to go there?"

"I was thinking this weekend." "Sounds good to me."

 "Good."

"Well,"I said, as I stood up from the chair I was sitting in.

"I think I'll be heading back now. Just give me a call when we're going to Blackmark."

Mira nodded."Right," she replied, still looking saddened over the death of Luke. I sighed.

"Again, I am sorry for what happened."
