Nicole's POV

This is the day that Miss Alice told me to go to this address. It's just near my house so I'll just walk over there. Good thing classes were suspended today.

I was checking my phone while walking when I heard a continuous honking sound growing louder every second. I looked behind me and was petrified when I saw a truck coming towards me really fast! I was frozen in horror. I couldn't budge. In my fear, I closed my eyes and screamed all the names of the saints in my mind. Then, someone grabbed me by the arm and pulled me aside.

The truck went pass us. My eyes were still closed. I was still trembling from my ordeal. I almost got run over. What's wrong with me. I felt a light tap on my head.

"Are you really trying to get yourself killed, miss trouble maker?"

That voice... that catchy name calling! Prez! I felt a bit secure and opened my eyes.

"Prez! Thank you... again," I was embarrassed.

"Well, see you later." Then, he ran off.

Where was this snob going? I remembered what I was supposed to do and walked to the said address. When I got there, I was dumbstruck. The place was huge! I guess it's like a ten story building with a lot of glass. As I entered, I saw a lot of benches and noticed it was very cold inside. It was like some sort of facility. I approached the receptionist.

"Can I help you, miss?"

"Ah, yes. Miss Alice told me to come here."

"Ah, you must be Nicole. Take the elevator and go to the fifth floor."

"Thank you." got into an elevator and pressed the number five button. When I reached the fifth floor, I noticed I a lot of vases with beautiful flowers. I saw Miss Alice standing outside a room, so I approached her.

"Good morning, Miss Alice!" I said.

"Nicole, please drop the 'miss'," she said smiling.

"Let's go inside. I want to hear your side of the story."

"Story? What story?" I said with a puzzled look.

"Your relationship with Clyde, dummy!" I was shocked. So we went inside and I told her everything.

"You even kissed?! Damn that Clyde! I'm flustered right now! Is my face bright red?" She was shrieking. It was funny. "Ahem, but you are lucky."

"Why?" I asked.

"Because he saved you a couple of times already. Clyde doesn't pick fights. He usually avoids them. He might be good in martial arts but the thing is, his hands... you see. His hands have underdeveloped bones because of his past experiences. That's why I was shocked when I found out he punched somebody. And his skin... when he punches someone or something, a little bit of skin usually peels off," she said with a sad face. "I want you to promise me Nicole that whatever happens, you'll always be right beside him, okay."

"What do you mean?"

"He doesn't trust anyone until now. He doesn't have friends and he doesn't have a family."

I was dumbstruck when she said this.

"What do you mean he doesn't have a family?"

"Well, let's just say that he didn't get the attention he needed as a child. His parents were always too busy at work."

I was slightly distracted by the image behind the window in front of us. I saw Clyde with only his shorts on... and they were literally short.

"Hey Nicole, why is your face scarlet?" and she laughed.
