Anakin, Padmé, and Obi-Wan were having a private meeting. They had found an unused room on the cruiser and had decided to talk about all that had happened. Needless to say, Anakin had a feeling it was going to be interesting.
"So, first off, how long have you two been...." Obi-Wan dropped off staring at the couple.
"Since Geonosis," Anakin replied, knowing there wasn't really a way to hide it anymore. He braced himself for his master's reply.
"Geonosis? Anakin, you were still my padawan.... What were you two thinking?"
"That we loved one another and being together would be worth it, even if it was only in secret," Padmé responded. "We didn't want to do it originally, but we stopped resisting after we nearly died in that arena."
"Oh, Anakin.... You do realize—"
"I have made a serious infraction against the Jedi Code for being married. I am well aware of that," Anakin said, cutting Obi-Wan off.
"Your married?" Obi-Wan said, horrified.
"Yes," Anakin and Padmé responded.
"I don't...." Obi-Wan sighed. Yes, he had expected a relationship, but he hadn't thought it was that intimate. Well, he supposed, it was more of hoped when Anakin was involved with anything relating to his feelings and emotions. "And now you two have children...."
"Children who were raised by friends or family members in hiding," Anakin said, shaking his head. "How could the Republic and Jedi Order fall in the same day? It doesn't make any sense...."
"Well, obviously the Sidious orchestrated the entire war to a tee.... Perhaps we could talk to some veterans of the Clone Wars.... Find out exactly what went wrong," Obi-Wan suggested.
"What about Luna, she warned us about a dark future, but.... Why didn't she tell us about all of this? She ran off as soon as we got to Bespin."
"She wanted us to make sure Han wasn't taken to Jabba and wanted to help Luke.... Why didn't she have us split up evenly?" Padmé asked, knowing that had she brought Anakin or Obi-Wan with her, Luke's battle with Vader would have gone very differently.
"I'm going to have a talk with her," Anakin said, very angry at the fact the Luna obviously knew what Luke was walking into and didn't inform either of his parents before she ran off to try and stop it, which she obviously couldn't do. She was lucky the Falcon had made it to them in time.
"Anakin, she did what she thought was right. I'm not saying it was, mind you. Luna has never been off of Earth before, and it's probably been one of her fondest dreams to fight Darth Vader alongside Luke. Coupled with the fact that if she did bring one of us along, Vader would become aware of our situation, which, considering he murdered the two of us, would be very bad," Obi-Wan said, all to aware of what Anakin was thinking. "She probably overestimated her abilities. At least Luna tried to do something. You heard Luke, she only managed to show up after the fight had been going on for awhile. There wasn't much she could do at that point. Had we arrived sooner, her plan would have worked better. She might have been able to stop Luke from confronting Vader in the first place."
"Still.... She could've gotten both herself and Luke killed."
"What's the plan then? We still are out of our time period, and now we know what will happen if we don't go back and fix things," Padmé asked, not really wanting to leave now that she had met her grown up children. Obi-Wan seemed to know what she was thinking.
"We must leave.... But as we don't know how, I don't see any reason for not assisting the Rebellion," Obi-Wan said. Anakin looked at him skeptically.
"And how about when we get back?" he asked.
"Well, someone's going to have to inform the Jedi council about something," Obi-Wan said, staring down his old padawan. "Perhaps Luna may be able to assist you with not getting expelled. I most certainly can't ensure you aren't, but I won't tell anyone when we get back."
"Thank you Obi-Wan," Anakin said, the relief in his voice clearly heard.
"You really thought I'd go straight to the council?" Obi-Wan said chuckling lightly. "I suspected and am happy for you, but I wish someone would have mentioned it to me before all of this time travel business."
"Yes, well, it was a secret."
"Not a very good one on Earth though, if we had kept watching that movie, it probably would have been revealed fairly quickly," Padmé said, smiling.
"How unfortunate Luna walked in on us," Obi-Wan joked.
"You know, speaking of Luna, have you seen her?"
"No, not recently."
"Now that I think about it, the last time I saw her was on the Falcon...." Anakin muttered, becoming worried for their younger companion. While she did know a little about where they were now, it was easy to get lost on a big ship like this, even if you had been on a space cruiser before, which she hadn't.
"I don't recall her following us to the medbay," Obi-Wan replied, frowning. They had all followed Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, and Lando off the ship, Anakin and Padmé wanting to make sure their son was alright and Obi-Wan in order to ask Leia more questions since it seemed she knew a little more about what happened comparison to the other four. Obi-Wan realized somewhat guiltily that he had completely forgotten about Luna. He also sensed he wasn't the only one. "She's probably just asleep in her quarters. It's around midnight for her and she's had a long day."
Padmé nodded, agreeing with his logic. They had all been assigned quarters on the ship after being accepted into the Rebellion, which had happened fairly quickly thanks to Leia and Luke both having high positions. Apparently having a Princess and a war hero Commander vouching for you made it relatively easy to become a member.
"Well, I don't know about you two, but I think I'm ready to turn in myself," Obi-Wan muttered.
"Doesn't sound like a bad idea," Anakin agreed. The three of them headed off to bed.
