Leia was in the cockpit when she saw the first stormtrooper.
"Stormtoopers!!" she yelled, running out of the cockpit and towards the ramp as Han activated some of the ship's weapon systems. Nearly everyone else followed Leia outside of the ship to begin fighting.

Luna was extremely surprised she was still alive. The Force was apparently on her side for the moment, but she knew it couldn't last.
Vader's blood red lightsaber locked with the sapphire one Luna was using. She tried to hold the lightsaber back, but he was much too powerful. Luna broke the lock by retreating back a few steps, trying to recover. She didn't get the chance. The red lightsaber came down and if it weren't for the miniscule warning from the Force to move to the side that she had listened to without question, Luna would have been killed right then and there.
She did not get a warning as Vader changed the direction of his saber casing it to go digging into her shoulder. A scream was ripped from her throat as she retreated, forcing herself to move the arm as she returned to a ready position.
"You are open to the Force," Vader noted, having been constantly surprised at how she picked up on the few hints the Force had given her despite not being Force sensitive. "Unfortunate you are just a child."
"Why, so you can't have the pleasure of killing a threat?" Luna managed to say through her pain. "Or do you not want to kill a kid?"
"I am well accustomed to killing children."
Luna didn't comment, not only because she couldn't say anything that she would truly mean, but also because she had to jump back as to not get cut in half by Vader's lightsaber. She fell to the ground wrenching her shoulder and nearly letting go of the lightsaber in her hand.
She found Darth Vader standing over her like the Dark Lord he was, an immense power that was impossible to understand.
Luna, somehow, still wasn't afraid, she knew who he was under that mask.
But when he lifted the saber for the swing that would most definitely end her life, fear rushed through her and she stiffened for impact, closing her eyes.
Which is why she didn't see nor understand what happened next. She just knew that one second she was lying down and the next her feet were back under her and then she was flat out sprinting so she wouldn't fall as someone dragged her behind them.
