Padmé was only marginally surprised when the door to her office flew open and Anakin stormed in. While she had not expected him to rush in, she was used to her husband's antics. Silently, Padmé thanked the Force that Bail had already left.

"Where is she? Is she alright? What happened? Did Sidious get to her?" Anakin asked, rambling off questions nonstop as he began to pace, his eyes flying across the room.

"Anakin—" Padmé started, only to be cut off.

"Is she hurt?"

"Anakin, calm down," Padmé said, walking over to him and taking his hands in her's. "Luna's resting in the other room. She's fine."

Anakin took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

"Alright. I'm sorry, I just sensed her from the Temple—"

"Hold on, you sensed her from the Temple?!"

"I sensed her terror from the Temple."

And suddenly Anakin's worry made a whole lot more sense. "She didn't look alright when she got here.... I would have asked more, but I had to talk with Bail."

"How did she find you anyway?"

"She and Bail ran into each other when he was on his way to see me. He brought her here.... You don't think...." Padmé dropped off worriedly.

"I don't know.... If Bail found her and she didn't mention anything to you, then maybe she didn't come into major contact with Sidious," Anakin reassured her. "I'll ask her about what actually happened though.... I still don't understand why Luna left Palpatine's office though. She knew that was where I was going to pick her up."

"She must have just wanted to get out of here. Maybe she should stay away from here, just in case...."

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea, just until we find Sidious," he agreed with a sigh before pulling her into an embrace. "Is it bad that I want to do the same for you?"

Padmé laughed. "Ani, you know I can't, I have a job to do."

"So? Could you try to get a vacation away from all of this, just until the war is over?"

"Ani, I can't.... I have responsibilities, besides, what's the point of a vacation if you aren't with me?" she asked as he kissed her forehead.

"Then maybe I should try to disappear for a while with you...."

"With what's at stake?"

Anakin sighed again. "I can't wait for this to be over and for the four of us to be together."

"Me neither Ani, me neither."

The couple stayed like that for a few moments before Padmé suddenly jumped, stepping back and away from Anakin for a moment, the oddest expression on her face. He opened his mouth to ask what was wrong, but before he could do so, she had grabbed his hand and set it on her rounded, yet still somehow hidden under her dress, belly, just in time for him to feel a little push.

"Is that...." Anakin began, a grin forming on his face as he felt another sudden pulse.

"They're kicking," Padmé confirmed, beaming.
