"And I believe that will do it," Jocasta muttered as she typed in the last few pieces of code. "Let's see if this will work...."
A moment later, words scrolled across the screen in perfect English.
"It works!" Luna said triumphantly.
"Indeed..... Now we just need to add more words and definitions before it would work for just about anything," Jocasta said. Luna groaned.
"That's going to take a while."
"Indeed....but I believe it is for a different time." Luna looked up to find Anakin coming over.
"I hope nothing too eventful has happened while I've been gone," he said as he reached them.
"We finally got the translator working," Luna told him.
"That's great!"
"Yeah.... Now all I have to do is translate Basic to English and visa versa...."
"Something that you can now find a way to do in your spare time," Jocasta said, taking a datachip from the computer. "You can improve on it whenever you wish, just bring it back periodically so that we can add the new information to the Archives."
"Will do. I can't thank you enough for helping me."
"I was happy to. If you should need any more help, you know where to find me," Jocasta replied before bidding them a farewell. Anakin helped Luna pack up before the two of them left the Archives.
"So," Anakin started, already knowing that he wasn't going to enjoy what was next, "what would I have to do to convince you to join me in a meeting with the Chancellor."
"You're joking, right?" Luna asked, looking at him questioningly. Anakin shook his head. Her expression turned to one of horror. "No, no, no, no, no, Anakin, and a thousand times no!! Meeting with Palpatine is not a good idea!"
"Luna—"
"Two times was bad enough, I am not doing a third!"
"Luna—"
"And Sidious will be there, and he could—
"Luna." She pause. Anakin continued before she could start up again. "It's either you come with me to this meeting, or you are left alone in the Temple for what could be hours."
"You are not making it sound anywhere near appealing. In Palpatine's presence for possible hours listening to random people drone on about politics that I don't understand?"
Anakin sighed, looking around to make sure no one in earshot was paying any attention. "Luna, the Temple isn't safe for you when your alone, and that rule applies to everywhere else. Just because it's unlikely Sidious hasn't hired someone else, doesn't mean that he hasn't done just that. At least at the meeting, you'll have me and several witnesses. If Sidious doesn't plan on revealing himself, he can't do much."
Luna opened her mouth to argue. Closed it. Opened it again before closing it once more. Finally, she said, "I don't have much of a choice, do I?"
"No."
She sighed. "For the record: I have a bad feeling about this."
