The Softball diaries.

The fear I have.

He turned and grabbed me by the waist. I looked into his eyes. I'm falling for this boy so hard. He kissed me in front of everyone else. I was so scared. It's not funny.

"My God. This girl isn't even a grease. She's o Soc!" that boy yelled.

I stopped kissing Pony. They know now I can't be with him. No this isn't supposed to be that way.

"So what. I love her. She's perfect in every way." Pony replied.

"Don't you know they cause trouble."

"Two-bit shut up! She plays softball and I love her." Pony was angry.

Steve grabbed me by the arm and took me out onto the front porch.

"Listen. If they argue then they fight. You don't want to see that."

"Well hell ya I do! I play softball. I'm bit afraid of a little fight." I said running back into the house.

Pony and Two-bit were on the floor wrestling and arguing. So what if I like fights. I don't get into them.

"Alright break it up." An older guy said. He looked about twenty maybe older. He looked at me.

The boys stood up. Pony came over to me. Two-bit whispered something to the other one.

"By the way that's my older brother Darry. And that's Dally on the couch."

Okay so these are his friends. I get it. But they are all giving me looks. I'm getting the feels of something feely right about now. What I feel is fear. They all know I'm different. I'm scared.

"So your a Soc?" Darry asked me. But how do I answer!

"Um well I guess you could say that." I really don't know what to do.

"Okay then. You don't look like one. Not at all." Well no duh. I play softball I don't wear fancy clothes.

"Well thats okay I guess. I mean I think it would be hard to do Color Guard and softball in jeans." I should know I have done it.

"You play softball? And you do Color Guard?"

"Ya. I mean it can get hard at times but I make it work."

Everyone had an look on there face. Probably doubting that I could do it.

"Maybe should could help us after all." Steve said. I don't want to know what I could help with.
