A/N: I sincerely apologise for that long hiatus guys! To make up for the lack of activity, I shall be posting 3 chapters today! Enjoy! <3

-P.S. *WARNING* If you have Hematophobia (the fear of vomiting, hearing the sounds of vomiting or just being sick in general) I'd advise skipping over those sections, other than that, I hope you enjoy this chapter!

5:00am was when I first heard the sounds of throwing up.

I'd been up for about an hour before then, unable to sleep for some reason, so Id been watching cartoons on Netflix, drinking chocolate milk I'd heated up in the microwave (don't judge me it's cold still and I don't know how to turn on the stove in this apartment!) and eating a bowl of cheerios, hoping by doing so that I feel a little sleepier and have at least another hour of sleep.

Alex was slumped beside me on the couch, snoring peacefully, adjusting himself so that he was now facing the TV. For the 2 weeks that he's been here, Alex has slept on this couch and I can't blame him, it's really comfy, way more comfortable than the air mattress I've been using.

Picking up the remote and turning down the volume, listening out for the noise once more. When I don't hear anything, I finish the last spoonful of cereal and slurp down the milk before getting up walking to the kitchen and deposit my bowl in the sink. That's when the second wave of retching echoes throughout the apartment.

I pad across the black and white laminate floor of the kitchen, walk through the living room and turn into the dark hallway that leads to the bathroom. I stop outside the door and press my ear against the cool wooden surface, knocking gently, "everything okay in there?"

No answer. Another wave of puking bounces of the walls of the bathroom. I push down on the door handle and I'm relieved to feel the door open.

Stepping into the reasonably sized bathroom, I look over to see Ben slumped over the toilet, groaning and spitting into the basin, his face so pale it was almost green. He looks over at me, his eyes half open, "I'm fine, don't worry about me, go back to bed."

I give him an 'are you serious?' look and walk over to the toilet, kneeling down so that I am at eye level with him. "you don't look or sound fine." I tell him matter-of-factly, putting a hand to my forehead.

He flinches away from my hand. "Don't fuss over me! I just need to get it out of my system and then--" he stopped suddenly, his face turning a deeper shade of green as he turned back to the toilet and projectiles into the bowl. I rub his back gently, sighing audibly, "that's it bud, just let it all out..."

After about 10 minutes of groaning, more puke and retching sounds coming from Ben, he flushes and slumps against the wall, breathing deeply and slowly.

"I said it probably wasn't the best idea to order from that Indian place." I say, handing Ben a glass of water and some aspirin.

He took the glass from me and swallowed the pills, gulping the water down with them.

"A little food poisoning won't kill me!" Ben argued, pulling himself up to a standing position and looking at his watch, "it's 6:58, I have a lot to do today, errands to run, rehearsals so..." he grumbled, flushing the toilet and making his way back to his bedroom. I turn and walk out after him, "I don't think it's a good idea for you to go to work today."

Ben slumped down onto his bed trying to put his shoes on.

"I'm fine, I just...needed to...get it out...of...my...system..." he mumbles, his eyes drooping and the top of his brow-line beading with sweat, his face a ghostly pale.

I take the shoe that he has gotten half way on his foot off and place it next to the other one by the door, taking his arm gently and pulling him up. "At school, you take 3 days off when you've thrown up, even if it was just from a little food poisoning." I explain, pulling the covers of his bed sheets up and get Ben to sit, getting him to lay down and I tuck him into bed.
